Eddie has always been the type to fuck around and find out. Ever since he was born, it had been a nonstop roller coaster of pushing buttons and boundaries, seeing how far he could take it, and boy could he take it. But at the ripe age of twenty-two, in the Spring of 1986, too old to be called a child and too immature to be considered a fully functioning adult, Eddie fucked around and found out for the last time, which is what led him here, on a midnight Greyhound to the once sleepy town of Hawkins, Indiana, a place that has suffered great tragedies over the past few years. Allegedly explained, but Eddie knew better. Father Edward Munson had been hunting his kind since the Winter of 1986, and it wasn't about to change anytime soon.

Eddie can’t seem to look away, can’t bring his ethereal gaze back up where it belongs. Steve thinks he should run, he should flee. A tiny part of him knows Eddie will chase him. Eddie will catch him, outrun him easily.
It's more than a little fucked up how that thrills him.
