Summary
“Batman works alone, I do not need superman, I do not need you.”
“We’re done here.” Bruce quips, as he spins on his heel; exiting the alleyway.
A shroud of silence settles over the narrow lane.When Lex Luthor destroyed metropolis in attempts to kill superman he was set to serve a criminal punishment. However, due to his wealth, good lawyers and influence on the world he evaded any convictions. To say the least, the citizens of Metropolis aren't very happy that he's roaming free, due to their strong disdain Luthor migrates to Gotham City, taking his heavy baggage with him.
Clark Kent suspects that he doesn't have any good intentions in Gotham, he knows that Luthor is planning something. Clark wants to warn Batman of this, however the two aren't on the best terms. Clark attempts to salvage what's left of their sour friendship, trying to convince Bruce that they need to work together again, despite their differences.

“Oh, you do like to flirt, don’t you?” Lex accused almost playfully, if not for the sharklike emptiness in his eyes.
Bruce sat back as the appetizer plates were taken away and replaced with the entrée: filet mignon in a mushroom gravy, served with truffles, asparagus, and black garlic potatoes. He couldn’t help but think Clark would have appreciated this. And he desperately wished he was here with him rather than Vicki.
He flashed a playful grin at Lex. “Flirting is what makes the world go round, Lex. What is that quote attributed to Oscar Wilde? ‘Everything in the world is about sex except sex, which is about power’. It applies to everything. Make people think you want them, and you’ve got the whole world in your hands.”
After years of living in the closet, trying to ignore the truth, Bruce is finally cornered and is forced to come out in a very public way. This leads to a series of challenges, blending his public and private life in way he can’t escape.

Summary
