"This is why I never wanted anything to do with you," Chuuya says. "I can't help but think, no matter what I do, one day I'll turn around and you won't be there. It'll be like you never existed."
Dazai decides to kill Chuuya. They end up talking on a rooftop instead.

Summary
It was an annoyance after everything that happened, and yet, Chuuya found himself on the doorsteps of a man that he had more than enough reasons to kill. He could come up with excuses, but he was not in the habit of lying to himself. At times, Chuuya would describe their relationship as an addiction he couldn't get rid of. This was ridiculous. Dazai was now a traitor and a coward; what did that make of Chuuya himself to know where to find him and keep that a secret?

“This way you’re at least double what you were worth in the dungeon.” Chuuya can’t bring himself to admit that it’s impossible to attach value to this.
“What can I say? Black looks good on me.” Dazai boasts breathlessly.

They were an unlikely pair.
The Sorcerer that had seen far too much and the Assassin who had been sent to end him. Dazai Osamu had entered Nakahara Chuuya’s house with the intent to kill him. He’d failed spectacularly. Dazai had expected death, had hoped it would be swift, merciful. Instead he found himself living in the Sorcerer’s sentient house, sharing food and space and clothes and conversation with the man that Mori had sent him to assassinate.
It can’t last. Dazai’s past is unravelling before him and Chuuya is learning the hard way that not even his powers can reverse the bitter corruption that loneliness has left inside him. Their own issues demand attention but the pair must focus on the looming threat; Sooner or later Mori will try to tear them apart. Dazai knows it, Chuuya knows it.
They must both strengthen each other. Together, together they might stand a chance against Mori.
