"Oh I'm sorry, go back to bed, I only called to talk to someone while waiting for Eddie to get done with the shower." Buck replied, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand.
"Oh? That's fine, I'm okay to talk if you wanna talk to someone. But I get to choose the topic." Maddie said, a smile on her lips.
"Uh...okay Mads."
"Awesome, okay hmm..." Maddie took a moment before speaking again. "What's it been like living in the same room as your best friend, aka your crush?"
Buck sighed. "Maddie, I told you, I'm not in love with Eddie, I don't know why you think that, we're just close friends, that's it."
"Come on Buck, do you really think that a best friend would take over their friend's house while they went to another state? That's not something a best friend would do. It wouldn't be so crazy."
OR: Buck has been having some feelings, and so had Eddie (Idk man, something like that)

—How was Mike so hopelessly in love with this emotionally stunted manipulative asshole?
Harvey’s tongue found its way back to Mike’s, clearing up any remaining confusion on the matter. Then, Harvey abruptly pulled his head away.
“So, rookie. Are you ready to take the deal or do you need more convincing?”
“Harvey…”
“More convincing it is.” —
I needed a prison fic where Harvey abuses his status as Mike's lawyer to turn their "lawyer meetings" into pseudo-conjugal visits. Because we all know Harvey isn't going to deal with the no-touching rule of visitation. He'll see Mike any time he damn well pleases and sue anyone who tries to stop him. And hey, he's not above getting a little handsy to get Mike to agree to Cahill's deal. (This ended up so much sluttier than I intended. Whoops.)

Summary
Buck's legs were moving expeditiously fast before his mind had time to process anything. The last couple seconds were playing on repeat through his brain as he made his way past the bridge, down by the riverside. He ignored the cries of his name from the rest of the team. That was all entirely unimportant at the moment.
Both of them looking at the car that was now out of control, too paralyzed by the sight to move.
He started blinking through nonexistent tears, heart threatening to give out when he couldn't spot Eddie. The current was pretty strong.
The head of the car coming into collision with the rear of one of the ones from the wreck.
He didn't stop, kept running down the grassy side of the bank. Perhaps he could catch up with how fast the water was moving.
The rear of the car whipping around, knocking Eddie right off the bridge and into the water.
...
after a brush with death almost drowns eddie, buck spirals about having to give him cpr.

Evidently, Eddie’s mouth was moving a lot faster than his brain.

Not canon compliant, Buck doesn’t have a pulmonary embolism (or whatever it’s called) and isn’t on blood thinners. Bobby keeps him from going back to work, Buck files the lawsuit.
This is set after he gets to go back to work, but getting your leg crushed by a truck doesn’t go without problems.My summary sucks, I promise the story is put together better than the summary

Basically Buck with pushing through chronic pain, which obviously doesn’t end well for him.
Maddie is a good sister, Athena and Maddie learn how the teams been treating Buck and are angry, Bobby needs to get his head out of his ass, and Eddie is an idiot.(Buck has post traumatic arthritis, I did research but it’s probably not 100% accurate, I myself don’t have that condition, but I do have chronic pain and I’m currently suffering so I’m making Buck suffer.)
