Reaching out, he places his hand on Ishimaru's cheek, wondering if his pain will bleed into his palm so he can take it away from him. That does not happen. Ishimaru simply nuzzles into it with a low hum, closing his eyes for the last time tonight.
Ishimaru survives Yamada's attack, survives the hammer that is plunged into his back, at the cost of the muscle function in both of his legs. As he tries to adjust to his newfound life he finds himself stuck, but Owada is there to tend to his needs.
