Summary
"Stop teasing." Seokjin chides, an annoyed grunt following as he spreads his free fingers and palm on Jeongguk’s skin. He pushes him, tries to lightly shove Jeongguk away while taking a step back. In reply, Jeongguk takes one step forward. Follows Seokjin and only wraps his arms tighter around him, their bodies even closer now.
"I’m not doing anything." Jeongguk mumbles, the shape of a playful smile that betrays his words pressed on Seokjin’s neck. Seokjin feels it – senses it melting on his skin like bubblegum ice cream under the sun, tastes its saccharine and velvety sweetness softening on his tongue. It’s summer (it’s always summer with Jeongguk) and Seokjin is warm, warm. So warm.

Summary
something ugly, insecure and angry that has been clawing at his chest for weeks. it doesn’t feel fair. it is not fair that he gets to go and live his dream but has to leave taehyung behind for it. all he has is a suitcase, white knuckles gripping tightly at it now, and he still wonders. wonders if he decided to throw all of it away, right there on the street, if taehyung would fit. inside his black suitcase. inside his tightening heart.
right now, taehyung is yelling something back at him as the bus leaves. and jimin isn’t inside it. he doesn’t even think about losing it, of having to wait for god knows how many hours until the next one passes. not now. he is too aware of the significance of this moment. knows that this could be spring or winter. an end or a start. maybe a little bit of both, too.

Summary
The song is still ending as Seokjin gently detangles Namjoon's hands from his neck, wraps their fingers together and conducts them outside. In a silent agreement, they sit on the grass. Away from the noise and Namjoon doesn’t mind the coldness under him, not when he looks up to find the moon in her full glory greeting them.
If wishes are granted from shooting stars, Namjoon wonders what the moon could offer him. Has been wondering for his whole life. Even after so many years, he still isn’t quite sure what the answer is. But still, this time, he decides to ask – for a blessing, for a consecration, for a protection. Of the gentle fingers he holds in his hand, of the sweetness he feels inside under the weight of Seokjin’s stare that encompasses him by his side.
"You have always looked the prettiest like this."
"Like how?”
"Moonlight illuminating you."

"ask me." jeongguk finally breathes out, strained. he licks his lips – anxious, this much jimin knows. his voice is shaking too. emotions bubbling, explosion barely contained.
"it doesn’t matter. that’s not—" jimin starts, bitterly. mouth sour and skin itching where jeongguk holds him steady.
"ask me." jeongguk presses, louder and a little desperate. fingers slightly tightening their hold around jimin’s wrist. "please." he adds, leaning down to press their foreheads together. long eyelashes fluttering prettily over his high cheekbones as he closes his eyes, a small tear running down his cheek. a stuttered breath, taking jimin in.
there is fear in there, jimin belatedly realizes. he is not the only one afraid of the fall.
