Somewhere in Europe
"Are you comfortable, my Lord?" One man asked. "Yes, I'm fine. Let's just get this over with." The thing he was talking to hissed. "Are you sure you do not want me to go to England and prepare for your return?" The man asked then. "Yes. We need you here. I already made preparations for someone to make sure everything is in place." The thing said impatiently. "I still don't understand why we can't go to England ourselves." It then complained.
"Because, the minute I enter that country, my dearest sister will know. Unfortunately, she and that despicable husband of hers haven't lessened in power since the last time we met." A blonde woman replied, pointing at the scars across one side of her face. "I have to have that boy's blood! He's the key to my survival with his mother's protection." The thing that was all that was left of Tom Marvolo Riddle said.
"Well, according to the stories our little friend told me, she is still protecting him." The woman named Morgause replied, pointing at where a snake was feeding itself. "How did she survive? I killed that disgusting mudblood! She should not be alive!" Riddle screeched and Morgause raised an eyebrow. "Apparently, the story goes that you actually pushed her out of the way and then tried to kill that oh-so-special son of hers. Are you sure that you remember what you did correctly?" She taunted him. "Yes! I killed her! Sent the killing curse to her and ended her worthless life!" He spat.
"Is there a way that she could have survived it?" The second man, Barty Crouch Junior, asked. "No. There is no possible way an ordinary mudblood could have lived that, unless...." Morgause trailed off as she realised something "No way." She breathed "What?" Riddle asked. "The only way I could possibly see that disgusting mudblood survive is if she was not a mudblood at all. Congratulations, Riddle. I think you met my sister." She said
Wait, didn't you say that you were cast out of Quirrel's body by an old man with very strong magic?" She then asked and Riddle nodded in answer. "Merlin, that old bastard. That I didn't realise it before. Now why would they be so concerned and protective over one single boy?" She asked, before going through another realisation. An evil grin slowly grew on her face, before she let out a laugh that would make Bellatrix proud.
"Oh, that is just delicious! My dearest little sister has finally become a mother. Everything just makes so much sense now! Oh, this is great!" She cackled. "How is this great?" Crouch asked. "Because before now, the only weaknesses my sister and her darling husband had in their lives were each other and they were too powerful to beat. However, now that they have this precious son, they have a new weakness." She smirked, evil plans running rampant in her mind. "Now, where do we begin." She asked and in Camelot, her sister woke up with a scream
Morgana? Morgana, what is it?!" She heard a voice ask as she whirled around to see her husband looking at her in concern. "It was her. It was Morgause. She's working with Riddle." She whimpered. "Fuck." Merlin hissed underneath his breath as he pulled her close. "She knows Harry is our son. She'll come after him now." She cried quietly into his shoulder. "Sssssshhhhh. We'll protect him and our girls. I promise" He replied
"Mummy?" A quiet voice asked and Morgana looked towards the doorway, only now realising that her scream had woken the whole entire house and probably the neighbours as well. Her precious children plus Hermione were all looking at her in concern as the former three had never seen such a violent reaction from her. Pulling back from her husband, she opened her arms to them instead. "Come here." She whispered
Her children, even a now 14-year old Harry immediately climbed into bed with her while Merlin got out. Hermione would later freely admit she hadn't really understood what was going on at first. She had slept in the guest room, when Morgana's scream had woken her up. She hadn't fully realised what it as, until she heard Harry, Melody and Sapphira rushing out of their rooms at full speed. Getting out of bed and following them, it had kinda shocked her to see Morgana so incredibly upset. She had heard the name Morgause and realised this was bad news
"Ms. Granger, could you help me make some hot chocolate? I think Morgana needs a few minutes with our children." Merlin suggested to her and she immediately nodded as they went downstairs. "I'm sorry you had to see that. It's been ages since she had a vision this bad. At least, nothing is on fire this time." Merlin then commented once they were in the kitchen. "Are visions that bad?" She asked, remembering Luna screaming the tower awake
"Not always, but she only gets the really bad ones when something terrible is going to happen and Morgause working with Riddle is definitely one of those things." Merlin explained as they prepared the hot chocolate. "Shit." Hermione cursed before she could stop herself. "I'll allow your swearing this time, because I'm not your dad and this is a very stressful situation. Just don't do it in front of the girls." He said and she nodded as they went back upstairs
Upstairs, Morgana was practically squeezing the life out of her children, tears still rolling down. "What did you see, mum?" Harry asked quietly and she took a deep breath. "Your aunt Morgause. She's working with Riddle and she knows you're our son." She answered and all three of her children paled. "Do they know about Melody and Sapphira?" Harry asked, said girls looking up in fear. "I don't know. They were only talking about you. They didn't mention your sisters, but I think now that she knows who you are, she'll do research." Morgana said
Melody and Sapphira immediately pressed themselves against their mother in fear and she hushed them. "I'm here. I'll protect you. All of you." She whispered, looking at her son as well as she reached out and caressed his cheek at seeing the fear in his eyes. Despite being a teenager, he immediately leaned into her touch as was terrified of the prospect as well. His aunt was the bogeyman of him and his sisters and she was coming
Hermione and Merlin eventually came back with the cups of hot chocolate and they drank it in silence for a few minutes. "We're probably not going to the quidditch final, are we?" Harry eventually asked and his parents shared a look. While this vision had terrified them out of their wits, they knew that Morgause wasn't in England just yet and they also knew how much they had looked forward to it. It wasn't fair to take out their fears on their children
"If all three of you promise to agree to several extra precautions when going there and to never leave our sight, it is still on the table." Morgana said. They would have to talk about this with the others tomorrow to try and plan something, so she didn't give them exact confirmation that they might not go and her children immediately agreed, knowing that for now, this was the best they could get. Hermione eventually went back to bed once her cup was empty, realising that this family needed some time alone after this terrible vision
Expanding the bed again, the family held each other close, the adults trying to comfort their children as this situation was especially scary for them. All their lives, Morgause and Riddle had been far away. A distant fear that didn't know who they really were. Now that they were working together and knew whose son Harry really was and maybe find out about Melody and Sapphira, that fear suddenly became a lot closer to them
"Can I bring Kaa?" Melody asked after a while, her snake still in his terrarium, having been worried until she told him her mother was fine. "Of course you can. In fact, it might be for the best if you bring Nilsa and Shyla as well and keep them on your bodies at all times as extra protection." Morgana replied, thinking it was a very good idea. Her children nodded, before quieting down and snuggling closer to her and Merlin
None of them fell back asleep that night
