It's the early 2010s, and the Japanese government managed to get their hands on an abandoned corpse belonging to none other than a vampire. Through research conducted on the carcass, the nation assembled a team of young children who would be injected with its blood and trained to be soldiers.
Since then, a couple of years have passed. These child soldiers have grown into adolescence and are the leading force through which the government tries to piece together the mystery of demonkind.
Meanwhile, the Vatican had caught wind of the existence of vampires in Japan, as well as the questionable practices of its local branch. In response, the Pope sent out a group of Swiss Guards as an expeditionary force to further investigate this matter and intervene should the need arise.
With the onset of covert military actions by both "peaceful" nations, as well as the supernatural elements involved, the stage is set for an unsung war to be recorded only in the most obscure annals of history.
That is if humanity can survive this war in the shadows.
