Chapter 1: ✧*̥˚ 1 *̥˚✧

Chapter Text

"So, you're looking to be a personal intern here?" The hero, who wore mostly green, asked.

"Yes, I am." Ranboo nodded, adjusting his black and white mask, trying not to freak out since he was sitting in front of the superhero called Dream.

DREAM - Position: #1 Pro Hero - Powers: Create (can create anything that comes to mind), illusions, enhanced strength, dexterity, and durability. Cons: Not announced

"And how old are you?" He asked, tilting his head a bit and leaning on the desk in front of him.

"16, th-that's old enough to intern in this city, right?" He stumbled a bit.

"Yes, it is. But I don't know if you fit the right qualifications..."

Ranboo frowned, then rummaged through his satchel, finding the resume he filled out, "What about this? Will this tell you more?"

Dream took it from his hand and looked it over, "Apartment complex near here, a roommate, strengths, and weaknesses... everything looks perfect."

"Can my application at least be considered...?" The black-and-white-haired kid fiddled with his hands as they lay in his lap.

As the pro hero was about to speak, the door to his office slammed open, "Clay!"

Ranboo swiveled around in his seat to look at the doorway, finding that the intruder was none other than the pro hero, Blaze.

BLAZE - Position: #2 Pro Hero - Powers: Arson (summons fire out of his body; it causes a lot of damage), fire-proof, limited healing factor, and enhanced durability. Cons: Allergic to water.

The teenager heard Dream sigh behind him, "Blaze, I thought I told you I had an interview today."

Ranboo looked at him, "Why'd you say 'clay'?"

Blaze recoiled a bit, tapping on the door handle, "Um, well... there was a shipment of clay that was tampered with, so I might check it out later."

Ranboo squinted his eyes, 'That's a bit sus...'

"A-Anyway, there was another thing, Dream." Blaze looked at his partner in crime.

"Well, go on." Dream waved his hand in a gestural cue.

"The intern that was hired a few weeks ago did it again." Blaze crossed his arms.

"He did what?"

"404 asked for a sandwich for his lunch break, as usual. He also asked for no olives." Blaze explains as Ranboo listens intently since it seems interesting.

"Please don't tell me..." Dream muttered, growing exasperated.

"Yep. He came back with a sandwich that had olives. 404 didn't know it had olives in it at the time, since who would make the same mistake 3 times?"

"Where is 404 right now?"

"In the bathroom being a drama queen saying he 'touched a filthy olive with his precious mouth'." Blaze said in a butchered British accent.

Ranboo kept his laughter to himself as Dream spoke up, "Well then, I suppose this means we'll have to hire a new intern..."

The tall teen immediately focused on the pro hero as he said that, leaning forward in his chair a bit.

"You may be young and have only worked at a..." Dream paused to glance at Ranboo's resume, "burger van...?"

Ranboo nodded and crossed his arms, proudly, since he found it fun working at that burger van.

Dream sighed, "And so I'll give you a trial period and see how you do."

Ranboo smiled under his mask as he jumped out of his seat, "Thank you, Dream! I'll try not to let you down!"

"Good, good. You start tomorrow. There'll be a list handed to you by the lady at the front desk." Dream mentioned.

Ranboo nodded, excusing himself from the room as he walked down the surprisingly dull corridor.

'They could use more color up here... maybe even lights.' Ranboo thought as he noticed some lights were flickering.

As Ranboo entered the elevator, he smirked. He tapped his right ear, which was hiding an earpiece.

The earpiece sprung to life with a tiny beep.

"Guess who got the internship?" Ranboo whispered as he pressed the button for the ground floor.

"No way!" A British voice spoke.

"Yes, way." Ranboo looked at the elevator, "Y'know, for a building that cost around a billion dollars, they could've at least put cameras in the elevators."

"I know! Talk about being complete dumbasses!" His friend was exasperated.

Ranboo chuckled, "And this is why I have you as my tech-savvy person, bee."

"You mean your only tech-savvy person, boo."

"I wouldn't have it any other way." Ranboo grinned.

"Focus on getting home, you romantic fuck."

"Fine..." Ranboo sighed as the elevator dinged, "Gotta go, bee. See ya soon."

"Kay, boo!"

Ranboo adjusted his mask as he continued walking. He strolled past the front desk, giving the lady with pink and blonde hair a nod.

The teen pushed the doors of the Pro Hero Headquarters open, walking out in the evening sun.

Of course, as soon as it got darker, that was when it got dangerous.

And Void would come out and start his patrol.

VOID - Position: Vigilante - Powers: Teleportation, enhanced dexterity, enhanced reflexes/agility, limited super strength. Cons: Memory loss, allergic to water, and vomiting.
