Chapter Text
Ijin has very few memories of his mother
She had pretty white powders and inks of makeup painted on her face
Soft laces and frills dressed on her clothes
vibrant crimson stained across her lips; she was beautiful
She was calm and gentle; soft dainty hands that would never have turned to violence when raising Ijin
She had soft brown hair like Dayeon that sat in neat curls above her shoulders
And kind but delicate eyes
She did not hit
She did not yell
She reprimanded with gentle scoldings
Even when she was angry she would still remain calm
Her love for him was genuine and unmistakable.
Most of his memories of her are faint and blurry
His most vivid memory of her
Was her hugging him tightly
Reassuring him quietly
Telling him it was okay and everything was going to be fine
Right before the plane crashed
Despite them basically being strangers and having no familial connection
He still misses her
He's always missed her
Even before he got his memories back
He's always longed for her comfort.
