The Schitt’s Creek Community Theatre and Vaudevillians (SCCTV) proudly presents its 2025 production of
W I C K E D
Starring Stevie Budd, Twyla Sands, Patrick Brewer,
and special guest appearance by Alexis Rose
Directed by Television's Moira Rose
with Jocelyn Schitt, Assistant Director
and Production Design by David Rose
Director: Moira Rose
Emmy TM award winner (Greatest Comeback 2021, Nest Actress 2022, 2023, 2025, Shortest Nighttime Demonic Possession-reprise performance 2024) Moira Rose makes her triumphant return to SCCTV to direct their 2025 production of Wicked.
A timely and lengthy hiatus thanks to Interflix soap Sunrise Bay’s transition to a limited episode format on the ultra-premium streaming service has allowed the former Schitt’s Creek town where we currently are resident to return to the SCCTV Director’s chair. The change in pace producing the cult soap has also enabled Moira to be positively bedevilled by plentiful new opportunities, including:
- A new marketing campaign for Herb Ertlinger Fluit Wines (try their bombilating new variety Dragonfruit Chilli Lime)
- The official opening of the re-surfaced highway leading into Schitt’s Creek, renamed in her honour
- Creative Director: Asbestosfest 2025 (yes, she WILL be making an appearance; no, son David will not, absolutely not, no-no-no-no-no, he won’t be doing that, he’s not interested in that option)
- Ambassador appearance at the 2025 Met Gala: Birds of a Feather theme
- Pre-production on her exciting new project, a ‘Thelma and Louise’ reboot, directed by Blair Whatsisname (The Crows Have Eyes 7: Caws and Effect) and co-starring Gloria Gregson.
Moira holds high hopes of delivering another renowned production to the audiences of Schitt’s Creek and the Greater Elms region: “I believe I am one hundred percent confident that you’ll all soon see what I hope I may be seeing in this beguiling theatrical piece.” (MR)
Assistant to The Director: Jocelyn Schitt
2025 sees founder and longtime Director of the SCCTV taking a step into the Assistant Director role while she focuses on caring for her surprise, surprise baby, Jacob, born just 3 months ago. Reprising the 1-2 Dream Team directorial duo with her bff Moira Rose is something Jocelyn has looked forward to since the Rose Family departed Schitt's Creek in 2020.
Jocelyn will bring her trademark positivity and effervescence to the production, provided she can still hoodwink David into babysitting from time to time, and bring her Director back down to earth when it is needed.
In her spare time, the Schitt’s Creek High School teacher likes to cook romantic meals for her husband, Roland (Dorito Casserole, always a favourite, though it never needs a special occasion) and attend couples massages with said husband.
Production Designer: David Rose
The Rose Apothecary founder reprises his sweeping behind-the-scenes role as Production Designer, taking complete and emphatic charge of Wicked’s aesthetic: all sets, props, costumes and even lighting design. Having such wide ranging production responsibilities as well as continuing to run his thriving business would be a daunting affair for most people, however it is well known in the Schitt's Creek community that David is married to the most capable, supportive and competent person in town (possibly the universe). So rest assured David will be well and truly taken care of at home and work, and still have time to judge the fashion choices of Schitt’s Creek townsfolk while selling them lip balm and organic wine.
Of the production design, David says he is excited for audiences to experience what he thinks will be an immersive theatre experience. And while he found initially the green colour palette for the Oz scenes to be personally challenging, David has since embraced all things VERIDIAN (as the window displays at Rose Apothecary show), and is looking forward to bringing the worlds of Oz, Munchkinland and Shiz University to life. David was certainly grateful that at least he did NOT have to work with a colour palette of orange, brown and over-saturated brights, such as in the 2022 production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: ”Those ubiquitous colours of the 1970s and early 80s are, and will always be INCORRECT - in any era!” (DR)
In his very limited spare time David enjoys ‘quiet time’ with his husband, curating his collection of monochromatic designer knits, and hanging out with bff Stevie Budd. (Elphaba)

Elphaba: Stevie Budd:
Stevie Budd returns to the Schitt's Creek stage in 2025 in the coveted role of Elphaba. (sorry Alexis). Stevie has spent the last 2 years living and working in Chicago, managing the wildly successful expansion of Rosebud Motels into the American Midwest. She (apparently) joined a local community theatre group one evening after a few too many gummies, accidentally auditioning for the titular role in Calamity Jane. Despite all protestations that being on stage in front of a room full of people made her want to throw up - even after a triumphant turn as Sally Bowles in SCCTV's production of Cabaret in 2019 - it seems that Stevie has a taken to performing more than she would like to admit.
Stevie honed her performance skills and calmed her nerves by starring in several productions over her time in The Windy City, including a modern day adaptation / crossover of My Fair Lady and Pretty Woman, the sweet and frothy Clueless, and a groundbreaking new 10 Things I Hate About You where she brought 90’s attitude by the bucketload.
The greatly missed Schitt's Creek resident returns home to plan the upcoming rollout of Rosebud Motels in Maine and Vermont, and is looking forward to the relaxed atmosphere and warm climate of Schitt's Creek. Her first plans when back in the creek include hanging out at Rose Apothecary where she can gang up on David Rose in an unbalanced social dynamic with his husband Patrick, stealing their best wines, and bossing Roland Schitt around in person.
Ga-linda: Twyla Sands
The biggest news in Schitt’s Creek in 2025 has been the revelation that the Twyla's Cafe Tropical owner and manager turns out to be a rather gifted songstress. This secret talent was revealed at the first Rose Apothecary opening mic night of the year, when the humble, and usually reserved Twyla reluctantly stepped in to fill the place of Bob Curry, who had developed a sudden and nasty case of Mono/Laryngitis.* (David Rose absolutely refused to step up to perform a solo 'number', so it was either Twyla taking the stage, or Roland singing a Lynard Skyard medley.) Twyla's impromptu duet with Apothecary co-owner Patrick Brewer on THE Elton John/Kiki Dee banger 'Don't Go Breaking My Heart' surprised everyone with her musicality, verve, and dare we say it - jazz hands.
This production of Wicked marks the first time Twyla has stepped up from the chorus/dancers to take the spotlight and we cannot wait to see her shine.
The SCCTV is eternally grateful to Twyla for her extra work with Stevie Budd (Elphaba – WW of the West) and Alexis Rose (Nessarose – WW of the East) on getting into character as the witches, contributing her longstanding personal experiences from her family background, as well as her skills in concocting potions smoothies at her café.
* oddly similar to ex-wife's case of same affliction
Fyero: Patrick Brewer
All-round Schitt's Creek nice guy Patrick Brewer makes his highly anticipated return to the local stage, following the disappointment of missing 2024’s production of ‘Grease’ after tearing both hamstrings in a particularly energetic last minute rehearsal of 'Greased Lightening.'
Brewer, who has been taking intensive dance lessons with Derek Robbins since his recovery, says that 2025 may finally be the year he delivers on his long-threatened triple threat. (In the event of any repeat of last year’s unfortunate incident, Ray Butani and Bob Curry have been understudying.)
When he’s not "working" with his husband David Rose in their general but very specific apothecary, or helping Ray Butani with one of his multitude of businesses, Patrick enjoys taking long, peaceful hikes in the countryside, and performing with his band Patrick and the Overstuffed Pockets. Catch their next performance at Asbestosfest where there is bound to be a romantic serenade where Patrick sings at his husband. Word on the street is that there will be either a folky rendition of ‘Never Tear Us Apart' by INXS or a soulful piano rendition of U2's 'The Sweetest Thing' - either of which would be the perfect song for the middle aged ladies who seem to make up a large proportion of PATOP’s fans.
Nessarose: Alexis Rose*
After several years in New York establishing her pubic relations company Alexis Rose Communications, Alexis Rose is taking a well-earned sabbatical to reconnect with her family and friends over the (lengthy Schitt's Creek) summer.
During her time in the Big Apple Alexis has used the time she would otherwise have spent dating taking singing and dancing lessons, and is now ready to unleash her vastly improved talents on her former community. (Perhaps David Rose will be excused from sharing the stage with his mother at this year's Asbestosfest.) Alexis takes on the role of Nessarose with unparalleled and perhaps unwarranted over-confidence, but the Wicked directors are holding high hopes that this fresh, crispy apple has rolled a little closer to the tree in recent years.

Boq: Theodore Mullens
The SCCTV (and the Schitt's Creek Retirement Home) celebrates the return of prodigal creek resident and veterinarian Dr Theodore Mullens, from his groundbreaking, turtle-saving work in the Galápagos Islands. Ted is excited to take on the role of Boq and tells us: "even if I am a bit rusty at performing and being around people after 5 years on remote, sparsely populated islands, I am going put my whole heart into playing Boq. Hopefully it will help me come out of my shell since I am not really used to being around people anymore."
The question on everyone’s mind (and Roland Schitt’s lips) is will Ted and Alexis Rose (Galinda/Nessarose) rekindle their past romance, possibly leading to a third( fourth?) proposal from Ted?*
*17 months later Alexis will be the one to propose to Ted.
Madam Morrible: Ronnie Lee
Ronnie Lee brings not only her acting chops to her role as the underhanded Madam Morrible, she is also Principal Prop and Scenery Constructor. Between her and mayor Roland Schitt’s myriad of contacts in construction materials and building supplies, and their reliable trucks, the sets for this production of Wicked have been built and delivered at bargain rates, despite the extravagant tastes of the Production Designer.
In her spare time Ronnie enjoys shopping for cargo pants, teasing Roland at town council, and singing with the Jazzagals. She is also President of local entrepreneurial group, Greater Elms Women's + Non-Binary Person's Business Association. The group has been considering expanding to enable men to join, however Ronnie has stipulated that this does not extend to thumbs.
Doctor Dillamond: Bob Curry
Bob Curry brings the moves to his portrayal of academic Doctor Dillamond.
The Wizard of Oz:
guest appearance by Mayor Roland Schitt
Mayor Schitt needs no introduction nor biography as Schitt's Creek's most eminent resident.
Pfannee and ShenShen (friends of Galinda): Darlene’s cousin and Robin from the grocery store
The audience will be both shocked and impressed with the charisma and stage presence of these two newcomers to the SCCTV. Who knew these talents were hiding in plain sight! We are sure they will be the names to watch in the future.
Evil Winged Monkeys: Antonio Salvatori; Ken Pike; Emir Kaplan; Miguel Tonedabsman
and in a special guest appearance as Dorothy: Gwen Curry
with furry friends from Ted's vet clinic as Toto
Other crew-
Photography, videography, accounts, publicity, driver, host of official podcast, everything else under the sun: Ray Butani
Hair and makeup: Wendy Kurtz
Catering: Ivan's Pastry Co; Heather's Goats Cheeses and Salads; smoothies by Twyla’s Cafe Tropical;
Carpentry and construction assistance to Ronnie Lee: Jake Zimmermann
Stage Illumination assistance to David Rose: Jake Zimmermann
