Summary
Asha Brystowe diSorvina has spent years trying to escape from her dark past, hiding a dangerous secret that could mean her banishment - or death. She lives as a simple herbalist within the Shire and rarely travels farther than her woods or the Market Place. But her contentment is disturbed by the Wizard Gandalf - a Wizard who shares her past, if only slightly - and a company of Dwarves when they turn up on her doorstep, ready to whisk her, and her adoptive brother Bilbo Baggins, on an adventure.
Kili Durin knows he must help protect his people and restore them to their rightful place in Erebor. He expected it to be a matter easily taken care of, never mind the Dragon. He did not expect the small lass who joined the Company of Thorin Oakenshield, nor did he expect to be attracted to the young woman.
For Asha and Kili, the thought of their One's has always been kept at a distance. Asha from necessity; Kili due to a lack of hope. But once it's realized, it can not be denied.
