Bruce Wayne has lost everything that mattered. The Justice League watches his every move. His children barely speak to him. Alfred won't look at him. And Dick — the son he broke, the boy he failed — is thriving somewhere else, with someone better.
Bruce and Selina come together in grief and loneliness, seeking comfort in intimacy that can't fix what's broken. She won't absolve him. Won't let him claim credit for destroying Dick (Dick saved himself). Won't let him be jealous of Clark Kent (who became the father Bruce never was).
Sometimes all you have left is honesty, grief, and someone who'll tell you the truth while holding you in the dark.
