[As with all my stories, none of this writing is final and it is subject to change frequently!]
Scythe's eyes locked onto the petite, black, anthropomorphic rat entering the hospital building toward the staff desk used for patient identification. She glanced to Broker, next to the small rat, then back to Broker. Broker intersected his arms in exasperation, glaring at his best friend whose grin nearly covered her entire face.
"Don't start..." He grumbled to the rattlesnake-like cowgirl.
He was too late though, and Scythe was already wheezing hard enough to qualify as a medical condition, since she could barely breathe.
She weakly lifted a clawed finger and pointed at the dark-furred rat standing upright in front of the check-in desk, "I- I can't-"
"IT ISN'T FUNNY!!!" Broker yelped pathetically.
Scythe nodded in a counterargument, "It- It- IT IS!!"
Broker snuck a look at the rat who raised a brow in Scythe's direction, "...Is she okay?" The tiny creature inquired.
Broker shook his head, "No, absolutely not," He countered.
Scythe had straight-up collapsed on the floor from laughing so intensely, "I LITERALLY CAN'T-"
She slammed a hand on the floor before gesturing back and forth between Broker and the rat.
Broker dragged his clawed hands down his face, his demon wings twitching in embarrassment, "I'm never recovering from this... My reputation is so screwed."
