Summary
Buck woke up on the morning of Christmas Day with a hopeful smile on his face, his hand moving to cup the back of Eddie’s head, his fingers, trailing through the silky, dark hair as Eddie placed gentle kisses all over Buck’s lower abdomen. Then kisses were being trailed up his chest, his neck, his jaw. Planted on his cheeks, his birthmark, his forehead, his nose, and finally his lips.
“Merry Christmas,” Eddie whispered against his lips, a smile tugging at his own ones.
A smile lingered on Buck’s lips, too. “Merry Christmas.”...
Or Buck and Eddie both have the idea to propose to each other on Christmas Day, and this is that cute little moment. Chris also asks Buck to adopt him.
Was supposed to be for Day 21 of 25daysof911mas but I work retail/hospitality so this past week has been a bit mental so I thought that today would be a good day to post it instead. Prompt: Christmas Proposal/Wedding.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all! I am so proud of you. I believe in you. I love you. xx -

Summary
If anybody asked him for an explanation, Buck had none.
He looked inside the gift box, making sure the mistletoe was safe and looking good, then closed it before leaving the box on the passenger seat, closing the door behind him.
Buck reminded himself to text Maddie only after leaving the city or else, his sister may talk some sense into him and he was tired of it. He was tired of being a functional adult that doesn’t do unpredictable and risky things anymore—he needed some of that edge Buck 1.0 used to have, for a good cause this time.
Last night, around eleven, Eddie had joked about mistletoe during the almost-daily facecall as Christopher had told him the plant had been prohibited at school for the holidays. It would all been laughs and giggles if it wasn’t for the fact that—
Eddie has never kissed anyone under the mistletoe.
-
Or, Buck goes on a improvised road trip to kiss Eddie under the mistletoe because he's very normal about his best friend coming out as gay and being interested in kissing men that aren't him.

Summary
Eddie has received many Christmas gifts. He’s always been grateful, even if it’s not what he wanted. He might not be able to pinpoint the best gift he’s ever received, but that doesn’t change the fact that he is grateful. This Christmas should mark one of the best gifts he has ever received. And yet…

Summary
It’s improbable, at the very least— that once there had been a little boy in Texas who sat and watched the ballet, transfixed and wanting only to be held back by adults who could never, and would never, understand him. That that same little boy would grow up, and that he would have a little boy of his own who was kind and sweet and open-hearted and brave in ways that he had never been. That he would do his best to nourish him, and by doing so would eventually learn to nourish himself.

Summary
“Me?” he asks, meeting Christopher’s waiting gaze. “Are you sure? You don’t want Dad to—”
Chris shakes his head, reaching out and putting his hand on Lucas’ wrist, then squeezing lightly.
“You’re my brother,” he says, his voice uncharacteristically soft, his blue eyes earnest. “I want it to be you. Dad and Buck don’t even know.”

Summary
Eddie hesitates. “We could both come,” he says.
“What, and have Lucas either in a car all night or spending Christmas at someone else’s house?” Chris asks. Both options sound miserable. Worse than being at home and missing one of their family. At least this way, Lucas will have his presents and his dog and his usual Christmas routine to distract him.
It’ll just be without Christopher.

Summary
For the last few months, ever since Eddie realized he was in love with Buck, he’s tried to cut down on the amount of physical contact he initiates, as if a single touch would expose Eddie’s feelings. But here, now, he has the perfect excuse to initiate contact for purely practical reasons. (At least on Buck’s side—Eddie knows his motivations are mostly selfish).
or
The power goes out on the night before Christmas. Sleeping in the same bed is the obvious way for Buck and Eddie to stay warm.

Buck still couldn’t quite believe it. He couldn’t quite believe that he and Eddie were finally together. Like together together. They finally realised that they are both in love with each other, and they are dating. Have been for the last month, and it has been the happiest month of Buck’s life. Him, Eddie and Christopher (who was the only person who they had actually told about them dating) finally being the family that they had been denying they were all along.
It was perfect.
They were perfect....
Buck and Eddie have been together for a month now and think it's finally time to announce their relationship to their firefam. What better way to do so than to kiss under the mistletoe Chimney hung up in the firehouse just a few days ago, in front of all of them.

Summary
Buck always thinks Eddie is hot, but there’s something about Eddie wearing a Santa suit, red velvet hiding chiseled muscles and softening all of his defined edges, that is driving Buck extra crazy. Not to mention the curly white beard that hides the entire lower half of Eddie’s face, leaving his beautiful brown eyes peering out, displeasure at his predicament incredibly evident every time he glares at Buck between photo-ops. Objectively, Eddie looks ridiculous. In Buck’s very subjective opinion, however, Eddie could wear a clown suit and still be the hottest person in the room.

The adults all poke fun at Buck for thinking these kids would believe he’s really Santa. Except for Eddie.
Eddie just stands there watching Buck.
He isn’t sure what to make of it. He’s not doing anything weird or different, Buck has noticed Eddie watching him while he’s doing something silly or ridiculous but this feels different somehow.

Summary
It's five minutes into the Secret Santa exchange, and Eddie is panicking.
He's not panicking because the envelope containing his love letter is currently in Buck's hands, folded edges falling victim to the prodding of Buck's restless fingers. No, he actually feels good about the letter.
What he does not feel good about is the fact that he missed a memo. A very important memo. A very important memo that would have entirely changed his approach to the letter-writing portion of this gift exchange. Because if Eddie had known that everyone was going to read the notes they received out loud, for the entire group to hear, then he might have left the love confession out.
or
It’s scary enough for Eddie to write a love letter for Buck. The threat of a public reading of the letter doesn’t make it any better.

Summary
Dear Santa, it’s me, Chris!
For Christmas I would really like my dad, and our Buck to be happy. It has been a really hard year and even though I know they are trying to show me that they are happy, I know they are struggling sometimes too. I just want them to know that I love them, and we will always be a family, no matter what. And I want them to be happy. Thank you....
Eddie reads eight-year-old Christopher's letter to Santa and texts Buck because his emotions are threatening to come out and he doesn't know what to do.
Day 8 of 25daysof911mas. Prompt: Letters to Santa.
This is, I suppose, kind of a prequel to the sort of series I am making through my fics for this fanfic writing event. Pre-relationship Buddie being typically not typical best friends.
Enjoy. xx -

Summary
“How are you feeling, sweetheart?” Buck asks as they settle, shuffling in and wrapping himself warmly around his husband. Eddie shivers and sinks back into Buck’s arms, fluttering his lashes closed.
“Like shit,” Eddie mumbles. Buck’s amused huff reverberates through his chest and Eddie feels the way a small smile tugs at his tired features in spite of himself as Buck kisses the back of his neck softly.

Lucas turns to look over the railing, where the multicolored lights on the truck are still glowing in the now-dim engine bay.
“Can we sleep there?” he asks. “Please, pretty please?”
Buck and Eddie glance at each other, wordless. And that’s how they end up, five minutes later, spreading blankets and pillows on the top of the engine in the hollowed out empty space.

“Speaking of the party,” Eddie says, twisting in his seat to look at him. “Why don’t you tell us about it?”
This sends Lucas into an immediate, winding, and passionate speech about who was there; what sweaters they were wearing; how beautiful the tree was; and how delicious the peanut butter balls were.
“I don’t even like chocolate,” he says eventually.
“Yes, you do,” Buck reminds him.
