“You?” You asked, nerves suddenly alight.
“Yeah, why not? It’ll save you on a gym membership. We have everything you need down here, in the dojo. And I know just as much as a personal trainer, look at me.”
He held out his arms, as though to display his physique- which you steadfastly refused to wrack your eyes over. You were well aware of how he looked, anyway. Tall and broad and packed with muscle.
“Plus,” Leo added, “There aren’t any creeps down here to hit on you.”
At that, Raphael began to choke.

“You referred to me as people, you’re talking to me like we’re equals.” Raphael’s pulse slowed down when he realized he wasn’t in trouble. A proper lady is used to receiving kind and beautiful compliments. They’re not used to being called ‘odd’.
“I’ve always believed people deserved to be spoken to kindly. No matter who they are.”
“Not everyone thinks like that.” Raphael grumbled, remembering all the time he was spoken to with hate laced in their words.
“That’s unfortunate and I apologize. People can be so cruel.” Haley casted her eyes downwards. Her socks were getting dirty. ‘Oh well’ she thought with a shrug.
Raphael wanted to be snarky and ask how a rich girl like her could know how cruel the world could be. But then he saw how distant her eyes became, glancing in a far off memory. Whatever this girl has been through, it must’ve been awful.

Sighing deeply, you reached for your textbook when you saw a… metal claw inching towards it? You would’ve fully believed that you were hallucinating if you didn’t watch the claw snatch your textbook right from underneath your hands.
“Hey, I need that!” you yelled. You followed along the arm of the claw before your eyes came to focus on a dark figure in a purple hoodie. You seemed to have spooked the figure for a moment. They froze, simply just staring at you for five seconds until they turned around and started sprinting from you.
God, you were tired. But there was no way in hell that you were about to find yourself a victim of some engineering frat’s antics.
