The fuzziness was familiar. She remembered it, vaguely, from back in the nursery. She knew it had happened multiple times before, but thinking back on it everything was mostly blank. She blearily remembered hiding away, blearily remembered the feeling of unease and smallness, blearily remembered Embarrassment shielding her from the world and Ennui picking her up. ‘Being little,’ Ennui had called it, and she remembered the taller emotion holding her like she was some precious thing and helping her stay hidden from the others.
The thought of it made her sick. Herself, Anxiety, something precious?? It was so wrong it was almost funny.
OR, Anxiety falls apart. Ennui and Joy are there to pick up the pieces.

Summary

Killua is a product, the decades-long outcome of his family’s loving labour to bend, break, and torture him into a tool of purpose. He is a dog to be set loose, a judgement to be brought down. He is not supposed to want anything at all.
And then one day, he does.
(An alternate timeline where Gon and Killua never met, and Killua never escaped his family. Somehow, despite it all, they still manage to find each other.)
