Fridays quickly turn from "Kuroo and Tsukishima date nights" to "Kuroo and Tsukishima and Kenma date nights," which eventually evolve into "Kuroo and Tsukishima and Kenma and Hinata date nights." Tobio merely huffs. As soon as Rintarou moves to flick water again, Tobio catches Rintarou’s wrist with his free hand, pulls him gently towards him, and plants a soft kiss on his lips. Rintarou is quick to react, his hand snaking to the back of Tobio’s neck, deepening the kiss.
When they pull apart, they struggle to hide giddy smiles. They lean their foreheads against each other’s as they collect their breaths.
Kei feels like an intruder. Like all the times he peeked into his brother’s room whenever Akiteru had his friends over and Kei wanted to join them but couldn’t, because he was too young.
His mind has relegated Kei to become a part of the audience instead of one of the actors in this imagined stage play. It’s not often he feels this way, but when it comes, it crashes.

His mouth is bitter at the thought, like a tangerine that isn’t fully ripened. And the thought of tangerines makes his heart speed up, because his favorite tangerine is the one sprinting full force on a court, spiking each set sent his way, jumping and soaring higher than before. His favorite tangerine is Hinata Shouyou. He’s not sure when that became true or how, but it is. And it makes him want to scream, to punish himself for falling for someone else, for loving someone other than Kiyoomi. The guilt eats at him each night that Kiyoomi curls close like this, each night that he falls asleep so easily in his lover’s arms. Because it is unfair for Atsumu to love Kiyoomi like this when he is falling so in love with Shouyou. It must be unfair, because his stomach rolls with remorse and shame. How could he ever expect anything less than falling in love with the brilliant redhead? Kiyoomi stirs a bit under Atsumu’s hands, nuzzles into his neck as the setter’s calloused fingers press gently into the knobs of his spine, and he wonders how he will ever live without this part of Kiyoomi.
And he wonders how he could ever be so selfish.
