On a hunting trip, the Prince of Camelot gets separated from his knights and finds shelter in a hidden valley. There, he finds dragons. They had not been killed in the purge, but retreated from the world until the time of dragons could come again. Arthur learns more about the dragons and finds out that some of the most powerful dragons are even able to transform into a human. Thus, he meets the dragon boy Merlin and beings to forge his own destiny - to bring back the time of the dragons and unite the land of Albion.

Summary
Turns out, baby dragons are too young to obey Dragonlord commands, even ones to stay away for their own safety. Consequently, Merlin finds himself put through more ridiculousness than usual trying to keep Aithusa out of trouble when she keeps coming to look for him in Camelot.
(And Arthur might be thick as a log on most days, but even he is starting to notice something's out of the ordinary...)
Honestly, if Merlin knew she'd cause so much trouble, he would've just left Aithusa in the ruddy egg.

With Arthur's death comes a single chance to go back to the beginning and save everyone he's ever loved. Seeing home in Merlin's eyes and a hope for a better world in Morgana's, Arthur knows what he must do.
Only bringing magic back to Camelot will prevent the future he knows is coming from happening, but in his way is the only mountain he's never been able to climb; his father won't change for anyone, not even for his son.
