Steve's life has been hard from the beginning. His father left when his ma was still pregnant. He's bound to turn out an Omega, which means he's got a life full of creeps wanting to try it with a male Omega and birth control that's not designed for boys but given to them anyway ahead of him. His mother works constantly to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table, the looming recession making everything more expensive than it needs to be. The only good thing is his best friend, who genuinely likes him, who might even love him, but even that gets taken away from him...
But just because the Army took Bucky away, doesn't mean they have to give up. If they try, they can make it. Steve knows that high school romances are usually doomed, but something gives him a good feeling about this one. He knows he doesn't want to lose it.Series

Steve spins around and has to put a hand out to the bar to steady himself at what he finds. The voice belongs to a guy that shouldn't be real. A guy with long dark hair falling across his shoulders in waves. Eyes that catch the light and flash through shades of steel and blue. And cheekbones that shouldn't exist outside of a magazine. A guy that is staring at Steve and smiling. 'Um, hi,' Steve says, breathless and fumbling to sit back on the stool behind him, 'Uhh...' He's trying to speak but his brain won't cooperate.
'Oh, he's shy,' the guys says, stepping into Steve's space. He makes an elegant hand gesture to the bartender and then leans his body into the bar, 'Must be my lucky day.'
An AU where Steve and Bucky have a forgotten history, an undeniable attraction, and are about to lose everything except each other.

He usually kept it covered. Whether it be with long sleeves, a cuff of some sort, or make up Natasha skillfully showed him how to apply.
He didn’t cover it up because he was ashamed or because he was one of those people who didn’t like others knowing who his soulmate was- no. He covered it up out of respect. Respect for his fallen partner, and respect for himself because he knew looking at those swoopy lines of James B. Barnes on his wrist always made him crumble like his legs were kicked down.
When he crashed into the ice all those years ago he thought he was going to see Bucky again- he thought he was finally going to be with Bucky without people giving them ugly looks and throwing slurs their way.
He thought he was going to be happy again.

“It’s a highschool, not a college, Dum Dum. You know Brooklyn Prep School, down by that big sports centre? Yeah, the one with the pool and the gym. That’s where I’m working.”

When it comes to Steve, Bucky has always been very protective — who wouldn't be? He was a little punk with health issues who weighed ninety pounds soaking wet and liked to get into fights with guys twice his size. Any rational person would be protective. So when Bucky finds out about all of the dangerous shit Steve has done while he was away, he is less than pleased.

Bucky, who is currently sitting silently (after hours of grumbling and bemoaning) at Stark’s side, glances up, an eyebrow arching as he gives Steve an expectant look.

Bucky was hurting after getting thrown through a wall during the last Avengers fight. So he was not pleased to hear a knock on his front door. It turned out that Natasha and Sam hired a physical therapist to help him. Without telling him. Unfortunately for Bucky, that physical therapist was hot as hell and built like a brick shit house. And to top it all off, he was nice.
