Just one more prayer. That was all he was going to send, he can’t stay hung up on this forever. Cas was gone and there was seemingly nothing he could do about it. He tried though, oh boy, did he and Sam try. They spent weeks, months digging through all the lore looking for a way to bust Cas out of that place. But Dean is tired, tired of the restlessness buzzing under the surface of his skin, it’s time for him to slow down. It’s time to say goodbye to the one he loved.

Jaskier seemed shocked for a split second, then his expression became more pensive. “Geralt, have you…have you done this before?”
The torrent of shame that poured down his spine left Geralt cold and angry. He was sure his expression was thunderous; he could feel his teeth grinding together painfully and his blood was pumping far harder than it would under normal circumstances. “If I’m not up to your standards, there’s the fucking door.” He gestured broadly to the exit and stalked across the room to fiddle with his potions that clearly needed no fiddling.
When Jaskier spoke again, his voice was painfully soft. “That’s not what I meant, but I will leave if you want me to.”
“I don’t care,” Geralt spat, the lie obvious even to his own ears.
“Well I do,” Jaskier insisted. “And I don’t think you’re actually cross with me. I think you’re scared. Maybe embarrassed.”
“You’ve known me for twelve hours and now you can read me like a book, huh? You don’t know a thing about me.”
“I’d like to,” Jaskier responded, warm and kind. “And I’d surely like to keep kissing you, but I don’t want to hurt you.”

It felt like some sort of twisted déjà vu and Katsuki thought he could puke, as he watched four of Shigaraki’s fingers wrap around a really still Deku as Kurogiri’s shadows wrapped around them.
He thought maybe, he understood now, what Deku must’ve felt when during the summer training camp he’d been unable to reach for Katsuki in time.
But Katsuki couldn’t accept it, he was going to reach in time because there was no other option. He just couldn’t-
“It’s okay, Kacchan,” Deku said, an arm-length away from him, “Thank you,” and he smiled.
“DEKU!” Katsuki’s hands reached forward but closed on nothing as Kurogiri warped them away.
