Summary
“Why am I not dead yet?”
“Death cannot hold you. Not yet.”
“Will you come get me when it’s time?”
“Always. In every universe.”
(Unspoken: you will never die alone, forgotten). It’s enough.
(he’s so lonely, it aches.)Izuku sees Death from a young age, and their relationship changes everything and nothing at all. He ends up with a different understanding of death and a quiet obsession with graveyards. None of that is enough, in the end.

Summary
“Peter, do you really want to die?”
And he thought about it. He really did. He thought about the quiet that he’d experienced, the silence in his brain as he stepped off that roof in contrast to the small buzzing of their coffee machine or the birds on the balcony. He thought about the absence of fear and the blatant emotionlessness of it all, the disregard for life in its entirety as he let himself be taken by gravity and he pondered the absence of fear in this very moment, staring into Sam and Bucky’s fond eyes. He searched the depths of himself, the peace that he’d felt in those few seconds of lifeless falling, and then he compared it to the peace he was finding bit by bit in the slowly rising sun he could see from Sam and Bucky’s couch.
Falling, shockingly, came up short.

Summary
“I know school’s a lot, but try to take it easy, okay?” Tony says gently. “You’re allowed to cut back a little.”
Peter’s first instinct is to argue. No, I’m not, he thinks. Not when people’s lives are on the line. Not when I have to get good grades to go to a good school. Not when there are so many people I might let down. Instead, he says, “I know. I will if it gets too much.” Because that’s what a recovering person would say.
And he’s supposed to be better.
or
Relapse is part of recovery. Peter learns this the hard way. Luckily, he's got a good team of people on his side. Tony Stark is one of them.

Summary
He picks up his phone and sends a quick text. "hey, happy! i’m not feeling too hot today, so i think i’m gonna have to cancel. tell mr. stark i’m sorry!"
He stares at his phone, waiting for a response. It never comes, and Peter sighs sadly. There was a part of him, a small part, that really hoped he was wrong. His insides burn, and he curls up tighter into a ball and turns off his phone.
(No one’s going to try to contact him anyway.)

Anxiety has a way of convincing Peter that everyone hates him. Tony has a way of proving him wrong.

Summary
"Will," Henry sighs, "I helped destroy the neural lattice of an entire dimension. I’m not solving for X."
"Wow. So you can annihilate timelines, but Algebra II’s where you draw the line?"
"Frankly, it’s beneath me."
"Yeah? You say that, but I bet you don’t even know what a logarithm is."
Henry’s quiet for a beat. And then—
"…What is a logarithm?"Will laughs under his breath before he can stop it. The kid next to him gives him a weird look. Will pretends to cough and returns to staring at the graph paper like it personally offended him.

“Disorientation is one of the quirk’s side effects, along with dizziness, confusion, and flushing later on. He’s going to tell the truth the entire time, but the truth may be…” Aizawa stares exasperated at Midoriya before running a hand through his hair. He mutters something under his breath that sounds distinctly like goddamned problem child, before continuing. “It may be slurred and difficult to understand.”
Hanta does his best not to stare. He does not think his actions are convincing to anyone.
“So it uh... I mean, it’s like…” He eyes Midoriya’s disorderly movements. “He’s… drunk?”

OR:Aizawa is tired, Midoriya gets drugged, and Sero uncovers some uncomfortable truths about his friend's past.
