Sanji could easily admit that, among the crew, Zoro was someone that he respected only for his battle skills, but otherwise, didn't have any sort of relationship with. The fact that they hated each other's guts, and could barely go by without killing one another for ten seconds said it all.
Yet, something snapped inside of Sanji at the sight of the werewolf standing tall in that wrecked courtyard, proud, even when facing death.
That was only the beginning.

Summary
The aftermath of Thriller Bark was deafening. The pallid grey skies opened up to shine glorious sunlight upon the massive island-ship as they exited the overcast seas, and though everything around them was rubble and desecration, the once-prisoners kept cheery dispositions. Luffy kept the brightest as always, skipping to and fro and making friends like he was made of the sunlight itself.
Zoro slept.
Even while resting, his shoulders were not unencumbered, carrying the weight of both his own and Luffy's injuries from the previous battles. The lines on his face that had no right to be on that of a nineteen year old were ever more visible, and the dark bags under his eyes were a haunting violet— bruised into his flesh.
Sanji... well. He waited.

Since the Whole Cake Island incident, Sanji’s been a little different. He’s still the same old Sanji, but sometimes his focus is easily distracted. Even after Wano, he still felt like something was off, even though he thought the problem was done after he fought Queen. The guy even went as far as asking that swordsman he hates so much to kill him if he ever lost his sanity. At the time, he thought Zoro was the right guy for the job, since Zoro wouldn’t hesitate to kill him. Or so he thought.
Little did he know, Zoro almost lost it when he heard the blonde guy talking in the middle of a fight.-
