Falling in love with Elle is hard. Objectively, it doesn't make a lot of sense. She’s not his type at all - excitable, rich, a little too focused on her appearance and very, well…, girly. Emmett, while generally not the type to fall in love easily, considers himself to be someone who judges people based on their character rather than their looks. It’s kind of hard not to notice Elle’s looks though, when she keeps strutting around campus in high-heels and alarmingly short miniskirts.

A laugh forces its way up Nick’s throat. “So, this is why you’re here? You need someone to write a play with which you can impress your majesty?”
“Not quite,” Will hums. He picks at the dust on the table. “Appease might be the more accurate assessment. There are lives at stake.”
Nick rolls his eyes. He’s only vaguely familiar with court politics but he knows that the Queen won’t dare kill a writer as popular as William Shakespeare. No matter how bad the play. “Oh please, I don’t think even your ego qualifies as its own lifeform.”
Will hesitates. “Indeed,” his gaze flickers up to Nick’s face, his brows drawn together in a thoughtful expression.Or: Instead of being send to America, Nick is sentenced to prison until he can finish the play he tried to steal from Will. Angry at the man and himself Nick refuses to write. That’s until Will steps back into his life, trying to convince him to keep going. If only Nick could figure out what his motives are.
