Summary
Optimus Prime, already controversial among Autobot society for his progressive views and desire to seek lasting peace with the Decepticons, is granted a vision by the Matrix of leadership--the first Prime in seven generations to hear the voice of Primus. He is to leave Cybertron with companions of his choosing and travel across the galaxy to a small and mostly disregarded organic world called Earth, for what purpose he does not know, as Autobot political rivals and Decepticon opponents attempt to sabotage the mission or kill him outright.
Meanwhile, on Earth, a group of disaffected teenagers in a small town in Maine are about to discover that the galaxy is much, much bigger than any of them had ever suspected, and inexplicably full of giant robots.

Summary
The legendary love poems of Solus the Engineer, now in a new, entirely uncensored and unexpurgated edition.
"This new edition of the Love Song is occasioned by a truly extraordinary discovery: what appear to be first drafts of the verses, inscribed upon lead writing tablets such as our most ancient ancestors used, which were discovered in the farthest corner of an obscure storeroom on Solaria, Cybertron's artificial moon and Solus' legendary home. These tablets contain corrections, notations, and sketches from the Love Song's author, who can no longer be argued to anyone other than Solus herself...It is my sincere hope, and the hope of all the faculty at Kaon University, that this new edition will present the Love Song of Solus as it was originally intended: a literary treasure for all of Cybertron, not for one faction alone, and an extraordinary portrait of our original forebears as real mechs who lived, loved, and (apparently) interfaced a lot." - from the introduction by editor Astutus G-Quiz, Dean of Literature, Kaon University
