The day has finally come for Ezra to leave the hospital & rehab facility, and be reunited with Cee for the first time since departing the Green.

Ezra's story hook: Join him as he reflects on advocating for floaters and fighting against institutionalized discrimination, dives head-first back into crowded places after living in isolation too long to count, and expertly weaves through The Pug's hidden underground corridors to retrieve his and Cee's stack of aurelac.

The actual story hook: Ezra gets to know Cee better through her writings, they bond through vid-comming, and a genuine connection is established. Through misadventures and otherwise, the two get the opportunity to explore how they feel about each other at their own pace, and by Part 3 all systems are GO when they board the tram for The Pug. ;)

Actual actual hook: It's all just been a lengthy process of self-acceptance from the very beginning for Ezra, even since the Green. If it takes a normal person time to accept that they've got inconvenient feelings, how about a hard-up, lawless killer?

Terminology (sorry, not alphabetical):
Camrea Judiciary = the highest governing body of the established galaxy, laying claim to Frontier, Fringe, and Inner Space (the former are more like Territories)
BG line = retired freighter & transit line formerly serving drop-ins to the Green moon
Thrower = Pistol/Gun
Moons/Moon cycles = Months (basically)
Half moon = Fortnight/Two weeks
Lunars = Years
Paces = A yard/Meter (roughly)
Strada = Street
Terra = Surface/Ground
Felchers = Thieves
Bipeds = Beings that walk on two feet (this is alien-inclusive language, less formal than sentients)

-- This series is a followup to a yet-to-be-released retake of Prospect from Ezra's angle, in the same voice as how I have written here. So if you like this, Sub and stay tuned. :)

-- The character Ezra is incredibly dynamic, elaborate, and complex, and it is for this reason as well and the intricacies and themes that play into the context of the connection between him and Cee that I am motivated to write for him specifically.

--Ezra has a very specific voice that can easily wax poetic. But just because he's articulate doesn't make him a perfect gentleman. I don't subscribe to an altruistic, selfless Ezra, and I try to remain grounded in the bias and subjectivity that everyone is prone to while writing an omnipotent narrative for him. Reforming from the outlaw lifestyle wasn't in his plans and doesn't happen overnight, so this is all pretty cursory for him.

--It's critical to me to remain attached to the OG Prospect canon as a foundational starting point, and build around the world that the creators themselves did such an excellent job of constructing both concretely and abstractly. I try to clarify where anything might be confusing. My sources are from the movie, script, Prospect Wiki fandom, and the Fringling Compendium.

--I'm not sure if or how much I'll write following the release of this series and the eventual predecessor of it, but if you are a fan or have something on your mind to share, by all means do! If I do write more, I promise to explore some Fringe-worthy sexual exchanges. But not without tossing in some angst and/or canon tax. :P

-- My Ezra has Cherokee roots. In the real world today, there are less than 2,000 fluent speakers of Cherokee, and the language is considered severely endangered with the risk of going extinct by the end of this century. Efforts have been made to revive the language, and one of those is through free online language learning. You can enroll during listed enrollment periods at learn.cherokee.org. There are also a few apps out there, as well as a self-paced, informal Cherokee syllabic learning site, www.embracecherokee.com. Presently, reserves now have Pre-K to Grade 6 taught in Cherokee. The more literature that can be translated into Cherokee, the more subjects and the higher levels it can be used for to teach in, with the goal of overall community revival and beyond.
