Lottie was someone who didn’t know where she fit in, and to Akilah, her erratic behavior was only partially due to whatever mental illness she had. Really, it was all about finding where to belong, trying to maximize the amount of people she could consider ‘friends’ and trying to fit whatever mold that was supposed to look like. How she would be pleasant as pie one practice and sullen, moody, and combative the very next day. The way she talked to people with venom they didn’t deserve or kindness she didn’t actually owe them. If Natalie Scatorccio stayed away from everyone in order to take control of her own narrative, then Lottie was her polar opposite. She forced herself to try and fit in everywhere with everyone, and as long as she made herself known, that was her in control of her own world.
It begged the question: when Laura Lee and Lottie started very suspiciously sneaking off together, was it weird that Akilah felt *jealous*?

Summary
Natalie doesn't have any friends, but she absolutely has Jackie Taylor. She doesn't know what they are, not exactly; she just knows her life is much better with her in it. The night before they leave for Nationals (aided by a lot of alcohol), the two confront their messy, complicated feelings they have with themselves, each other, their teammates, and their own futures—futures that they want each other to be in, one way or another.
After their plane crashes and months of survival in the wilderness, the survivors of Flight 2525 have found themselves facing a brutal chill whilst on the brink of starvation... and potentially a lot more than that, too. As the winter gloom sets in, everyone soon becomes desperate to feel anything but the cold.
Natalie, deeply insecure and uncertain about their collective future, wants to try her best and make Jackie's fast-approaching birthday as special and memorable as possible. So, Nat acquires some psychedelic mushrooms to liven up the evening and cut loose because, hey, you only live once, right?

Summary
For as long as they can remember, the Martinez boys have looked out for one another in their own way. After being superfluously saddled with their Dad on their way to Nationals, they've each had to reckon with the fact that one of the worst things to ever happen to either of them was, unfortunately, completely and entirely avoidable. As winter progresses, they find themselves caught in a swirl of chaos- Jackie and Natalie have disappeared without a trace, their fellow survivors are becoming increasingly amenable to cult-like practices and behaviors, Mari has turned up dismembered, and everyone is mostly certain that Misty Quigley is at least partially responsible.
When things become desperate, Javi attempts to make a bargain with the Wilderness, and Travis attempts to find him before he makes a terrible mistake. All the while, both brothers are forced to confront their complicated feelings about losing their late father, hoping that a better life is waiting for them if they weather the storm and survive long enough to be rescued.
