Summary
In the present times, Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor are at war with one another (though the public is unaware of it) because of what happened in the Vicky Vale's Exclusive's storyline (see previous part of the series).
A crisis in Gotham sends Green Lantern, J'onn J'onzz and Superman back in the past to stop the destruction of Earth. They unfortunately have to deal with a too joyous young adult Oliver Queen, a moody, enraged and out of control teenager Bruce Wayne and an overly curious young adult Lex Luthor.
Green Lantern is happy he might get some blackmail material on Batman. Superman has an harder time dealing with both his best friend and his worst enemy than in the present (which is, in itself, quite an achievement). His only good news is neither of them have Kryptonite yet. J'onn J'onzz wishes everyone, especially himself, will forget about the trip to the past.
The superheroes also have to deal with a depressive villain. This should be easy...

Summary
Batman has not appeared in public in the past three years. The Justice League is worried, to say the least. Is Batman seeking revenge? Or is he cruising a mermaid in Antarctica, as Green Arrow and Hal Jordan have (drunkenly) predicted? Worse, could he be dead? Nobody can quite believe he is dead. The League has restarted a search for him, beginning with the events that may have led him to disappear.

Summary
The line between superhero and supervillain has never been thinner.
Emotionally, mentally and physically unable to be Batman after the entire Batfamily and Selina Kyle have been tortured and murdered in front of him, Bruce has come back to Gotham as a gang lord controlling the city he used to protect. His gray morality is a few shades darker than normal.
Superman is falling apart.
Wonder Woman has to keep the Justice League united as the secrets kept have been ripping it apart at the very seams of its identity.
Thank God the Joker is there to remind everyone what true evil looks like!
