In general, people have things about hospitals because in general good things do not happen within their walls. In general people remember sickness, injury, and death when hospitals are mentioned, and it is for that reason that they don’t make particularly good light conversation.
The Baudelaires had a very specific and valid thing about hospitals, and it is for that reason that Violet Baudelaire was specifically and validly avoiding it.

Summary
Following a second murder of Count Olaf in the Village of Fowl Devotees, the Baudelaires find themselves separated and scattered across the Hinterlands, on the lam, missing, and presumed dead. Violet is forced into more and more morally questionable situations as a means to survive as she searches for her siblings, while Klaus searches for the truth and the mysterious letters behind every unfortunate event that’s happened to them. Summary
After their parents perish in a terrible fire (which means were killed), the Quagmire triplets are sent to live with the deplorable Count Olaf, who will stop at nothing to make their lives a misery and steal their sapphire fortune. Meanwhile, Klaus Baudelaire struggles to accept the death of his parents and older sister, while also having to raise his infant sister Sunny and deal with living in a miserable school.
It will be the start of a very long, very depressing and very difficult journey for these young children, and I suggest you look away. I wish I could.

For enrichment of the author purposes, this doesn't directly follow either book or tv canon, but some Frankenstein of the two. A lot (not all) of the major plot points and characters will be from the tv show, but a lot of setting and timeline details will be from the books. Basically I just picked and chose my favourites from each. To my knowledge, though, everything makes sense. Feel free to ask if it doesn't, though !!-

However, it so happened that when the siblings put their heads together it usually resulted in various items of furniture being hurled, mediocre cooking, attempted murder (only occasionally directed at each other), and many *many* pranks.

She buries her face in her hands, no doubt getting more sand on herself and in her hair. Violet can feel shame crawl its way up her throat, guilt settle hard like a rock in her gut, and embarrassment paint her cheeks red.
This wasn’t cathartic, it felt… cruel.
