Nothing explicit, gory, or strictly inappropriate as of yet (hence Teen & Up rating), but understand that if/when this work continues, that could eventually adjust/change somewhat.
Pronouns: This work addresses Al-An as male, since Robin addresses him with male pronouns in-game and the Subnautica wiki also addresses him as such. I've no issue with other works that choose other pronouns; this one simply differs for those reasons. -

This story follows Robin Ayou on her journey investigating the sketchy death of her sister, Sam Ayou, on Planet 4546B, a large water planet.
This story takes place in the 23rd century where humanity has been exploring the stars. The main space exploration company Alterra comes across Planet 4546B decades before Robin or Ryley arrive, but little did they know the planet was under quarantine from an outbreak of an extremely harmful bacterium call Khaara. Multiple ships of theirs are shot down by a previously installed Quarantine enforcement platform (a big gun) made by a hyperintelligent alien race called Architects who put the planet under quarantine after the Kharra bacterium they were testing on broke out in an accident. Ryley Robinson, one survivor of the shot down ships managed to follow leads from this ancient race to find a cure for the bacterium. This opened the planet up for Alterran research parties to actually come and study the planet and its wildlife. Sam Ayou, one of the researchers, dies under questionable circumstances in an arctic area called Sector Zero, which is then abandoned. Robin, after receiving rather unsettling voicelogs from her, smuggles herself onto the planet to investigate.
