It breaks news headlines when the vigilante turned hero (questionable to the public eye) Peacemaker is saved by the spy taskforce known as 'Checkmate' and they publicly call out A.R.G.U.S. for involuntarily sending Peacemaker to some Lex Luthor level prison hell scape. The Daily Planet plans on being the first to get their hands on the story with an interview of one of the members, and this is how Jimmy Olsen meets one of the oddest men he's had the (dis)pleasure of meeting, Adrian Chase. An interview, of sorts, is conducted--and maybe it will lead to more for the two.
Jimmy laughed as he ran a hand through his hair. "I don't believe a word you say, but I can't stop listening."
Adrian laughed, smiling as he spoke. "It's true! I almost had alien babies!"

Simply answering it and putting it to his phone, waiting to hear the voice on the other end of the call. With his windows closed, his bedroom felt too enclosed and warm. Yet, a shiver ran down his spine.

Not that it was a good idea, but he literally thought it was the best thing he had to offer. Adrian feels like he's the only one agonizing over how it's affecting them, but Chris might surprise him with some development.

As Goff fights for control over Adrian’s rapidly self-healing body, he and the other’s fight for his freedom.Or- Goff steals Adrian's body in episode 6 instead of Sophie, and the team tries to both kill and save Adrian throughout the progression of the show's real plot.
(I got the idea that what if instead of Sophie begging for peacemaker to join her, it was Adrian? Would the answer be different?)

Economos has just finished your stitches and is prepping the bandages he’ll use to wrap your broken ribs when Harcourt, back from the supply room toting an IV pole and a bag of morphine, notices Vigilante hovering just outside, in the hallway.
“Chase!” Harcourt barks. “Stop lurking around like a fucking creeper. In or out.”
“Aww, don’t be too hard on Vig,” Peacemaker says. “He turns into a real stalkery fuck when he’s in love.”
