Summary
What happens when an Aes Sedai from the Age of Legends finds herself in the Third Age? The Forsaken thought they were alone, but there's a new player in the game.
Before the War of Power erupted Taija Kosola had been a physics professor, happily ensconced in research. Like so many other aes sedai, the Shadow brought her peaceful, happy existence to an end and pulled her into a war she neither expected nor wanted. She should have died fighting one of the Forsaken during the War of Power, never living to see the final end to the Age of Legends.
What if, instead, she was trapped in a stasis box, freezing her in time until she was finally freed in the Third Age?
Taija is alone without her friends or comrades with no idea where or when she is or what happened to her. All she has is a determination to live up to her title as a servant of all and the lost knowledge and skills of her long dead civilisation.

“Well in short it is hard. But to elaborate… You dedicate your life to this entity and their cause and your own. Most will hate you for it, and you will rarely be thanked. You will see pain and hurt you can fix and those you cannot and carry all of it with you for a very long time. You will watch those around you be born, grow up, grow old and die while the face you see in the mirror does not change...” she watched his expression very carefully.
“However, you will have a touch on the world that few others ever have or will. You will help more people than you can count, you will have purpose. It is tiring, it is painful, it is rewarding, it is honorable. That is how it is to be Aes Sedai.” He let out a long breath so did she with him.
