It’s been 10 years since monsters emerged from the underground. At first it was a lot of fear and stress, now seeing a monster at your local convenience store was perfectly normal. That doesn’t mean there aren’t many who still fear and hate monsters, if people can’t tolerate other people, how on earth are monsters supposed to fit in? But there are a few who accepted monsters, tried to learn from them about intent and magic. Enter (Y/N) a young woman who, as part of your college year, will be an exchange student, living amongst monster kind! You’re excited and nervous to live with your host family, but that’s all part of the experience!
However things go real funky, real fast when in the middle of the night your pulled out of bed by an artistic looking version of your host. What’s worse is that in the ten minutes he had you, the skeleton seemed to completely forget about you. Now that wouldn’t be so bad… if he’d lost you in your universe!! This sets off a series of multiverse jumps as you try to find your way back home.

Monsters can dance to their hearts content in any way, to any song. Humans however, though they need to dance, can only dance one style and usually have a song created by their soul. Humans experience constant harassment for stealing magic from monsters all those years ago, even if that is just not true. So, when leaving their part of the city, they hide among the Monsters
Frisk Smith is the child of the president of Ebott city, they live with their sibling, Chara. They both are professional ballerinas though Frisk dances other styles too. Frisk lives a normal life until they come across the unspoken part of the city which is in ruins. They learn more about Human culture and decide to fix this disgusting life their new found friends live in... all the while falling in love with one of them.

The Cycles.
Over and over the cycles have looped, each time displaying different results from the few people who remember. It's a prison which none can escape from, with the keys to the cage in a dangerously inquisitive child's hands. Some deal with it better than others, even as those who gather together struggle to find a path to freedom.
Their ticket free ends up being an accident. One of their own, a scientist from Underground named Sans, accidentally causes the machine they had been trying to build to get a better understand their situation to cause a transdimensional incident.
On the bright side, the 'glitch' means no more Cycles.
... and not everyone knows how to deal with that.
