TLDR: Markus goes fucking insane and Simon is gonna suffer because of it (TM)
Markus is on some sort of downward spiral. He can't describe it, whatever words he uses don't seem to exactly fit his emotions, always just a little bit off, never near enough. It grows worse with every second that ticks by, every second it goes unwatched. He'd lost his care of the world; the revolution; his people; the sacrifices that'd been made; North and Josh. It was distant, dampened, it wasn't that he didn't care anymore at all, he just... cared less. In its stead, a growing obsession had risen, from some dark corner wherein it had fed upon the formerly light feelings of affection Markus had held for a particular blonde-haired android, waiting for just the right moment to strike.
Ever since Simon had saved Markus's life in Hart Plaza... he was all Markus cared about. Simon was his light, his angel, his saviour - and Markus needed to have him. Utterly and completely, no matter what the cost of that would end up becoming. Nothing would ever be worth as much as his angel.

I… what do I even say? I don’t have any words that could properly convey the raw and visceral emotions these books made me experience. Seldom do I find fanfics that make me feel SUCH intense things. The last handful of chapters in the second book ESPECIALLY made my heart explode and my eyes weep. Gavin and Nines ended up having such a unique and beautiful bond, and I’m so glad that I was able to experience it with them.
And also…. HELLO?? THAT PLOT TWIST IN THE SECOND BOOK????? It COMPLETELY blindsided me, I can’t believe I didn’t see it coming at ALL 😭 It was so so so so so good.
There’s not much else I can say about this series without blatantly spoiling it, but.. CERTIFIED BANGER series 1000000/10, it took forever for me to read but it was SO worth it :) ❤️ god I fuckin’ love the characters in this so much
Which oh yeah, I forgot to say that I absolutely ate UP Connor and Hank in this series. I really don’t ship HankCon all that much (at least romantically, I personally see them as more of a father-son relationship), but this series put so much hilarious humor into their parts of the story and overall made it very enjoyable to read.
So yeah, all of that to say, I feel so incredibly lucky to have stumbled upon this series and be able to read all of it ❤️ it truly did impact me greatly, and touched my heart so deeply. What a breathtaking story.
