Summary
Zer0 is the ultimate badass. After three years on Pandora, they've become nigh unstoppable. Nothing is a challenge after killing godlike biological superweapons on two separate occasions, and things have become monotonous for them. Then they're ambushed during what was supposed to be a routine mission. They barely escape with their life, but not before being injected with a strange and debilitating poison.
Rhys is the workaholic CEO of a once-powerful megacorporation, now reduced to a smattering of bandit-infested ruins. Rebuilding is an uphill battle, one that leaves him isolated from his friends as he pours himself into work. It's only chance that he comes across Zer0's bloody, barely conscious form in the middle of the desert.
Hunted and unable to fight, Zer0 is forced to go into hiding. Lucky for them, Rhys's top secret Atlas Facility has some extra beds and some of the best security on Pandora.
Besides, Rhys could really use the company.-

“Well if it isn’t my favourite coffee shop owner.” Jack strode up to him, folding his arms as he stopped only a metre away. He was wearing a tight black t-shirt which showed off his arms and chest in a way that did things to Rhys’ throat and abdomen. Surprisingly, Rhys noted, he didn’t have any tattoos other than one circling his wrist.
“What can I do for you, Rhys?”
Now, Rhys was planning to be professional and to the point about how he was bringing him his first coffee but Jack would have to come and collect the rest and how it was going to be the best coffee he’d ever tasted but what came out of Rhys’ mouth was hands down the most embarrassing jumble of crap he had ever said.

“Multiplying like friggin’ rabbits,” Jack grumbled to himself, ducking behind a pot of decorative foliage and powering up his lasers.
“Woo-ho-ho-oaah. Talk about a throwback. When was the last time this place was still painted red?”
Jack froze, his arm automatically swinging to his left to shoot the offending voice, but the lasers didn’t penetrate anything solid, nor did any damage numbers appear. Instead, what he turned to face was a translucent holographic figure, which flinched immediately, clutching its torso as if to block the laser.
“Wh- Aarghh! Jesus, you scared the crap out of me! Don’t- don’t do that.”
His voice was a sharp contrast to his outfit, but parallel to his demeanor. A skittish and obviously out-of-his-element disposition suggested the cowardice of a bottom feeder, but his jacketed vest and gelled hair were common appearances of the wealthy shark-heads at the top of the corporate food chain. Typical of complex AI projections without a mechanical body, blue flecks reminiscent of the Fast Travel stations’ effects floated off of his form. His name appeared in ally-green above his head: Rhys.

After both Rhys and Fiona vanish into the vault, Zer0 finds themselves worrying for the wellbeing of the pair. Against their better judgement, they chase after the adventurous duo. The task seemed easy enough at first, or so they'd thought. With one problem leading to another, Rhys and Zer0 find themselves growing closer and closer. Zer0 finds themselves battling not only the onslaught of enemies, but their conflicting emotions as well. Rhys? Well, he just tries his best to stay alive, and not fall head over heels for the assassin...though perhaps he's already failed that.
In which Rhys spends a lot of his time falling, both to his death, and into Zer0's arms.
(Takes place at the end of Episode 5, with a slight twist.)
