He smirked and moved closer, his breath on your ear. You could feel the hairs on the back of your neck standing. “I could make you moan, and then I could make you regret the day you ever dared to defy the Legion," his voice was a husky whisper and he grabbed your thigh, digging his nails on the inside.
You should refuse, you should slit his throat on the spot and make him eat his words. But the thought of being forced to submit to him made you weak on the knees, it was a shameful and filthy fantasy, one you had been keeping locked in the deepest part of your mind, but one that made your core heat up. You should know better than this, and yet, you couldn’t help but smirk and tease him back.

The contradiction of emotions inside you was making you lose your balance for a moment, your knees weak as your body betrayed your moral compass. His hands caught you before you could fall to your knees.
His touch felt electric. You immediately cringed from the contact and wanted to push him away, but your knees still felt weak. You resigned to glare at him instead.
“Don’t f-fucking touch me,” you gritted your teeth and he chuckled at your words. His laugh was raspy. He sounded like sin, confident to the point of arrogance,

Caesar was worried. Vulpes Inculta, his most loyal Frumentarii, hadn't returned from his mission. It was supposed to be easy, something that Vulpes should've gotten done in a day.
Even if he was injured beyond measure, Vulpes would always finish his missions by recounting what he found out to Caesar personally, just as he'd been asked to. It had been a full two days since Caesar had been expecting Vulpes, and there was no sign of him. He wasn't at Cottonwood Cove, he wasn't hiding in a safehouse, and he wasn't at Legate's Camp to check up on the recruits.
He was gone.Or, Vulpes gets taken into NCR custody because of the worst set of coincidences on the planet, and Caesar is worried about his good boy and says "I think the fuck not"
