Chase wishes it hadn't all fallen apart. He's lived with Leo for three years now, and in all that time he's never spoken to any of the others. Flynn's doing his own thing, Carl is holed up in his mansion, Jenna and TJ are in college. And Sydney's been gone for a long time.
But since when has that ever stopped trauma swept under the rug, nightmares unremembered, tension festering beneath the surface?
Following a feeling he can't explain, Chase will bring all of his old friends back to the town full of memories for all of them, memories both painful and happy. But it's been a long time, and how can they hope to reconcile when they've never found closure...or the truth?

This story follows Kudzu and Chase as they work to support each other through the difficulties of being in a relationship as well as struggling through severe PTSD. The bulk of this story takes place during and directly after the events of Echo (more specifically, Leo’s route’s good ending).
NOTE from after entire fic was published: If you're coming here from Quality of Life (or if you're reading this for the first time), I've gotten comments about how the first few chapters seemed to meander and be somewhat boring to read (which I have to agree with. I wish I wrote them differently). If you would like to skip the Echo portion, which is just the events of the game from Kudzu's perspective, I suggest you skip all the way to chapter 9, where they escape. I certainly won't blame you haha. Hell, I was bored when I reread it. By all means, if you would like to read from the beginning, you're welcome to. BUT, don't say I didn't warn you when I said it's somewhat boring. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy.

This my first time writing something like this so I hope y’all will be understanding, basically this’ll just be a collection of short (sometimes) horror stories about the experiences of the main cast of echo as kids, I’ll probably connect it to an au where Sydney lives if I ever get around to writing it, other than that have fun and I hope you enjoy this disturbing ride :3 (also side note spoilers for the routes of echos so you should definitely play it if you don’t want to be spoiled)
