Annie Cresta is only 18 when she volunteers for the Hunger Games, having spent her entire life preparing for this day. Youthful with the energy and bravery her Districts pride has instilled in her, and allies with the Careers in her games, being a main contender for the Victor That is, until she sees her District partner, Wade Pittide, get decapitated. In a state of frenzy, she flees her allies and hides for the rest of the games, until an earthquake breaks the dam in their arena, flooding it. Only, there was no earthquake, and Annie Cresta was far too brave to spend the games cowering. It's a pity, how little footage they have to show after she goes into "hiding", but that is the Capitol's way of maintaining control, and they will stomp on the neck of every bird they have to if it means having a Victor.

Din’s eyes come to rest on the weapons rack--specifically the ice axes placed on it. He recalls how menacingly the light from the holos flashed off them as Corin Valentis cut through each 'attacker'.
"Ah, this is about the boy from District 2.” Liita tilts her head and frowns. “Pretty face, strong body--I may not be into that, but I can see how one might be attracted to him.” She shrugs.
Din crosses his arms defensively. “I’m not...attracted to him.”
She wears a small, knowing smirk. “Never said you were.”
He scowls and walks towards the next training station. “And he’s not that pretty.”
Liita snorts. “You’re a terrible liar.”
“Okay, so he’s pretty. Whatever. But he’s also dangerous.”
“Careers always are," she counters. "Your point?”
“This guy--he’s more than dangerous, he’s--”
“As psycho as a sith with a saber?” Liita supplies.
“Exactly.” Din halts at the painting station where the Stray is drawing with a stubby, green finger.
“Look, the Plan doesn’t involve hunting Careers down. Our orders were to--” Now the girl stops to stare at the child. Realization dawns on her face.
Din doesn’t take his eyes off the child. “You have your orders. I have mine.”

Rather then being reaped from previous victors for the second quarter quell tributes are reaped from victors families. To remind the districts that capitol families were torn apart by the rebellion. This results in Haymitch and Katniss having to mentor Prim and one of Peeta's brothers during the 75th hunger games!
