Lamarck is just another bratty student who thinks he knows everything, and Mendel's just a lucky gifted kid trying to survive school even with his chronic anxiety. The two didn't talk much, never once dared to, so wouldn't you know it, they're now being told by their science teacher to help each other for the rest of the school year. All cause Lamarck got *one* failing grade apparently. But what starts off looking like a series of tutor sessions that the two think they'll completely forget in the future starts to slowly turn into an actual friendship... and perhaps more?

Context: so in this universe Baldwin iv and salahadin were exiled from Jerusalem to California (which is renamed Neu Jerusalem) after Netanyahu and his army took control of the holy land. Currently there’s Trump’s great American empire (98% orthodox Christian) and Greater Israel (modern Israel, Lebanon and the state of New York) Some context is that salahadin is a grey wolf therian and Baldwin doesn’t have leprosy in this au—he has a flower curse/fall in love spell put on him by salahadin. He has red crown anemones(that’s a species) growing out of him and he wears a mask to hide the facial ones. The curse can only be broken by Christian’s reclaiming the holy, this will make Baldwin iv stop being in love with salahadin also.
