Nagisa Shiota has been called into the school counselors office four times this week. He’s been struggling mentally, physically and emotionally. His mother is a bitch who picks apart every insecurity he has. He’s failing his classes, has no friends and is slowly spiraling into a deeper depression. His scars only go deeper and he’s finally contemplating killing himself to end his pain. Life is plain, he has no aspirations and he can’t see himself with a girl let alone a girlfriend. One night, he stands at the edge of a bridge when he hears the comforting chirps of a red collared dove.

Summary
While brainstorming plans for assassination with the class, Karma volunteers to do something incredibly dangerous for it, which confuses and concerns his classmates. He casually mentions how he nearly committed suicide when trying to kill Koro-sensei before and the class freaks out about it. They start acting differently around Karma
Main campus learns about Karma's cliff jump assassination too. Since the main campus doesn't know about Koro-sensei, they think that Karma is suicidal because of some major parental issues And proceed to make some more assumptions about how he is only aggressive because it's his way of asking for help.
This leads some forceful bonding between Karma and some of the other students who want to help him. Both classes swarm Karma with positive affection, which gets E-class extremely protective of Karma when around main campus students

Karma and Nagisa celebrate their third year anniversary by going to a café. If they were any other couple this would probably be fine. However, Karma needs to hide their relationship as he’s going for a promotion and being gay is a bit awkward in the Japanese government.
Unfortunately, Karma over supply of enemies (and lack of impulse control) means everything rapidly goes wrong.
Maybe Nagisa should have become an assassin after all.
