“If… what I say isn’t true…” He begins, eyeing Slime carefully to see if he’ll say something. He doesn’t so much as move or hold his head up to look at her, so Mariana takes it as a sign to keep going, “Then I would not be here, with you. But I am. I want to do better, for you.”
Still nothing. Slime sits, unmoving, the only part of him that does are his eyes closing shut.
“Let me prove it to you.”
Mariana scootches closer, once again testing the waters. Slime doesn’t budge as he continues to sit while hugging his legs.
He puts a hand on Slime’s shoulder, and the other man jerks his head up suddenly. The two stare into each others’ eyes for a moment, and it almost felt like this could have been any other day. A sense of calm washes over them both, but not before Slime can say quietly, “Is this the part where you kiss me or some cheesy shit like that?”
(Or, Mariana finds Slime after Purgatory and tries to make amends. And maybe regain what they've lost. With maybe a couple shenanigans along the way)

Charlie pauses as Coda's eyes gently open, an emerald green blazing to its awakening after several blinks through sleep. She yawns, limbs stretching outwards as her body ripples in a familiar wave of sparking code, mangling the noise to a rupture of erratic syllables. Charlie laughs, only slightly in a soft contentment as she looks up at him with a growing smile, so childishly big it warms his fractured heart in mending grace.
He lets her sit up, grasping her bearings from slumber before his expression slips into a mulling melancholy. “Today’s a very special day, Coda.”
Her head tilts, hands scribbling down in her notebook, ‘1t iS?’
Charlie smiles, hiding the wavering linger of a deathless ache.
“It’s your sister’s birthday.”

You walk down the stairs and lock eyes with the Prince. There’s a heavy chain around his wrist, binding him to the far wall of the basement.
The Prince’s form hunches in the shadowy expenses of the desolate basement, face sharply silhouetted by the barred window above him. His dark brown hair is matted and slicked with grease, a tangled calamity framing his dusted cheeks and jutting bone.
And yet, despite his predicament, he sits with an elegant defiance, a glint in his dreary brown eyes that threatens a sickly dread. A power that serves him the title of Prince on a silver platter
And for what seems to be the first time, The Hero meets the Prince’s gaze.

‘Th3 Fed3r@ti0n wa$ h3re. They were l00kIng f0r më.’
Charlie stands to his full height, the pain lacing his body quickly forgotten at the mere implication of Juanaflippa in danger.
“Did they see you?” He asks, his voice eerily low. She shakes her head.
“We can’t stay here. They must be monitoring this whole site,” Charlie says as he steps to his tools chest and rummages through, retrieving the only diamond blade he owns, "Phil can help us. We became really close over the past 2 weeks, he was the leader of our team. They are like a second family and I know they’ll be there for us." Flippa’s eyes flash with an eager, artificial glimmer as she nods.
“Stay behind me, okay?” Charlie instructs, watching his daughter nod in understanding and creep into his shadow, her eyes glowing an eerily bright green in the shade. His hand grips the wobbly knob of his door as he glances behind one last time, giving her a reassuring nod. She returns it with a smile.
Charlie turns back around just as he opens the door and takes a step out—— and nearly walks right into Cucurucho.
OR: Charlie returns to Eggxile immediately after Purgatory to find 'Flippa' and is ambushed and kidnapped by the Federation.

Mariana's life had long since fallen into dull monotony: wake up, eat, work, eat again, sleep. Trapped in a loop of partially his own making, doomed to the worst fate of it all: A meaningless life, a set piece for others more interesting than he was. Destined to fade away into obscurity, always forgotten in favor of someone else.
Charlie had turned life around ever since two children forced themselves into it. Or, at least, he tried to, though he liked to think the less appealing parts had been swept under the rug well enough. He reconnected with his friends, his brother, and best of all, he was free. Though with freedom comes recklessness, and with recklessness comes... mistakes.
Or: Charlie is the lead singer of a shitty new rock band he started with a few friends, and he would like to think life was pretty good! He had friends, a mostly intact apartment, and a job that payed... well enough!
Though after an incident at a local coffee shop (that attracted only mild attention from the cops), he had made an enemy of one of the barista's, who he, unfortunately, could not stop running into. -

“Flippa.. Its okay it's just mĘ̵̽” Slime fell back down as another glitch jolted through his body.
He hadn't expected his infection to worsen, not after spending so much time in purgatory without problems. But as soon as the boat was nearer to Quesadilla Island, he’d felt the uneasy static rising up his throat and the familiar, numb, cold feeling return to his fingers. He already felt the fatigue of the island, the aching loneliness.
When Flippa was here, he was okay. When Flippa was here, he could ignore the static in his head, ignore how much he missed their cozy wall hole, ignore all the flaws in Flippas’ little shell.
What he couldn't ignore, was his splitting head(ache) and the federation workers knocking at the door.

‘What’s wrong papa? I thought you’d be happy to see me!’ Juanaflippa wrote, looking at Charlie with a toothy grin.
Or; The island recognizes Charlie more as Gegg then Charlie.
Also, the second chapter is inspired by the fic "5 things Flippa learned about her dad and 1 thing she already knew" and one of Charlie's abilities in the story, I highly recommend this story! It's extremely good :D
