Summary
The Enterprise is full of seasonal festivities. All of these celebrations have Data bewitched, Tasha bothered, and Shinebug bewildered.
Data doesn't want his child to miss any of them. But is he really doing this for her? Or does it have more to do with his insecurity? Because ever since meeting the late Noonian Soong, Data's been struggling with the fear of failing as a father.
Tasha's there to remind him that they make their own rules and traditions when it comes to family.

Summary
“Yes,” Data continued. “His right leg appeared to be injured. When I brought it up to him, he denied that he was feeling any pain, and when I urged him to check with Dr Crusher, he refused.”
“Hm.” Guinan nodded. “And Will’s a proud, stubborn man, but not usually to that extent. So you’re concerned about him, and you want to confront him about not seeing the doctor?”
Data placed his hands on the bar, neatly folded together. “I do not feel concern, Guinan. I have simply identified unusual behaviour and know that it is my duty to make sure that Commander Riker, first officer of this ship, is functioning adequately.”
“Of course.”

Summary
“Data,” Geordi started, in a strangled voice, “is that my shirt?”
Data looked down at it, as if he’d forgotten he was wearing it. “Yes, it is,” he answered succinctly. “You informed me sixty-three days ago that if I ever had a need for a discreet outfit, such as for the shore leave we are about to embark on, I could ‘help myself’ to your wardrobe.”
Geordi’s mouth suddenly felt dry. “Uh. Right. Yeah. Sorry, I didn’t remember,” he stammered.
“If you wish for me to change, I will return to my quarters—” Data said, his tone prim and proper as it always was, before Geordi cut him off.
“No—no! I was just surprised, uh, seeing you in my clothes, that’s all,” Geordi insisted, waving his hands vaguely just to have something to do with them. “I take it you have… plans? For shore leave?”

Summary
“...I only wish to monitor Commander Riker’s condition,” Data said, feeling oddly hesitant. “I do not wish—”
Beverly smiled at him, which indicated happiness, but her gaze was deeply sad. “You don’t want to risk him taking a turn for the worse when you’re not here,” she finished. “I understand, Data. People always feel that way when their loved ones are injured and possibly dying.”
Data blinked back at her. “Do I… love Commander Riker, Dr Crusher? This feeling is unfamiliar to me. I do not know how to identify it.”
Beverly smiled more genuinely this time—he could tell by the lines around her eyes. “Data, I think that’s a question you have to answer yourself,” she replied. “You’ve been on a few dates with him, haven’t you? That’s enough to make most people care, at least.”

Summary
Being best friends with an android is a strange thing. It’s like Data has a computer side and a human side; one always churning out facts and statistics, the other surprisingly sensitive and sweet. His computer side is often the most noticeable one, but it makes his human moments all the more special.
OR: five times Data's androidness is very obvious, and one time his humanity is.

Summary
He had warm hands, Data noticed. Strong, warm, rough hands. And one was simply… resting there. On top of Data’s. He knew he was able to process so many inputs, but there was part of him wondering irrationally if extended contact would cause his sensors to overload.
“Data?” Riker questioned, bringing the rest of Data’s focus back to the visual in front of him. “Are you alright?” His eyebrows quirked in concern and a small frown pinched the edges of his lips. Data didn’t like it; Riker had a very aesthetically pleasing face, and his expression threw all of the proportions off.
“Perfectly fine, sir,” Data reassured him. “I am simply curious: this action in which we are currently engaging… is it at all similar to the traditional affectionate gesture of ‘holding hands’?”
Riker looked down, then back up at Data. “I mean”—and Riker’s grip shifted, slipping under Data’s hand to link their fingers together—“if you want it to be?”

Summary
“Your name is on my wrist,” Will blurted, for lack of any better way to say it. “You’re. Shit. Wait.” He fumbled with his sleeve, because Data’s molten eyes were boring into his soul and he felt a baseless need to prove his statement. Black ink looked back at him from his skin and he shoved his hand out towards Data, almost flinching when the android leaned close to study the four simple letters. Data’s breath on his wrist then did make him flinch, though it was more of a surprised shudder—Christ, Data was doing things to him, and part of him wanted to abandon the entire awkward situation, but the part of him that won was the part that wanted to stay, awash with emotion, and let fate have its way.
“Fascinating,” Data commented, drawing away after a few seconds that felt like a lifetime. “That is, indeed, my handwriting, sir. And it may please you to know that I have your name printed on my wrist, as well.” Data rolled up his right sleeve with precise, calculated movements, and Will’s heart came to a stuttering halt.

Summary
Data is on a small mission to a planet-wide marketplace, when he finds a hungry and frightened ball of fluff. Judging by its behaviour and current physical state, it's a stray who has been cruelly abandoned. For reasons unknown (read: he is in fact capable of loving), Data ends up getting the cat attached to him. And he’s definitely not leaving it behind.
OR, an origin story for Spot the Cat. Which we all definitely needed.

Summary
Walking along the streets of Altrev VI, Data let his eyes roam along the concrete streets approaching the dock, his gaze drifted upwards, catching on the sky - it was beautiful, and he decided he could not wait to spend the remainder of his shore leave with Geordi.
It was then that he bumped into someone, he glanced down and apologised before noticing the dark robes he was wearing, it must be uncomfortable by human standards - Altrev VI had two suns after all.
Data stepped back, intending to give the person space to walk, but his back hit something hard and soft, probably a person. They grasped his arms and he felt their fingers roam down his back-
