What if Dean didn’t spend that year with Lisa. What if Mary wasn’t as loyal to John as we think therefore making Dean not a Winchester through blood. What if Dean knew what Cas was planning all along and Cas wasn’t as loyal to heaven as he appeared. What if Dean and Cas both knew the demigod turned god that people call the God of Destruction.
During the year of Sam’s death Dean didn’t go to Lisa, no, instead he went to the one place he has ever felt more than just a weapon. Camp half-blood. His home when he was moving around, the only place he could train and it didn’t feel like a chore. He hasn’t really been to camp though, only when he was in the area and was able to get away to visit but he had been there enough that he had a weapon. A sword in a bracelet around his wrist. Camp wasn’t just a safe haven, but also his first home.

Harry blinked confused, they left him alone? Or did the deatheaters kidnap his friends? But the members of the order were strong, they wouldn't let the dark wizards take them.
“Alone?” he mumbled confused.

Summary
Contrary to belief, the Endless did not know all. They were not the most powerful beings in the universe. They existed to serve the world they were born into by Time and Night. Time and Night, who in turn, only existed by a wave of the hand by the Creator - when the universe was born.
What was known was that Lucifer and Michael were fated to fight until the end of days - the war between the silver city and Hell constant and ruthless. However, it was not fought directly by them - but by their cohorts... demons for Lucifer and Nephilims for angels.
Nephilims were feral beings, no better than demons - only marked with grace and wings instead of blackness and horns. Creatures that were vicious and ravenous - feasting on the blood and essence of their enemies.
The Endless did not know everything, but even Dream knew that it was best to never meet a Nephilim without a muzzle... and better yet, it was best to not cross the considered leader of the Nephilim, the only female - Mikayla.
But as said before... the Endless... Dream did not know everything. He did know duty. He did not know her.

Now millennia afterwards Death saw it fit to drop him in a new reality where super heroes and villains exist often facing world ending disasters like every other Tuesday. His new duty is that he must help keep this universe from imploding on itself all while on "vacation". No big deal…right?
