Now while Riley is still fresh from her emotional whirlwind, she's at least made amends to the people she's hurt before returning to her home.
But what happens when they, with their vastly different emotional development and tones, become neighbors? Shenanigans, bonding, and -if the situation calls for it, moments of being honest with yourself and being in tune with your own emotions.

Working at Cloud 9 wasn't what many would call fulfilling work, but Anne was as happy as she could be with her life. The heat of rural Texas hadn't killed her yet, she made enough money to live, and she never neglected her prayers. Her job was monotonous, but she had shelter, food, a strict routine, and constant words sent to the only being who could matter. Sure, the stress from constantly planning every moment of every day was getting to her, and maybe guilt was making it hard for her to breathe, but she was happy. She should be happy, right?
When Joy (a pretty, optimistic, new coworker) becomes her responsibility to train, reevaluations have to be made. Where are all of these new feelings coming from? When did she stop being able to shove them down? What is wrong with her?

Summary
Takes place 5 years after the second movie.
Disgust takes Joy out for the night after she had a bad fight with Anxiety. However what was just supposed to be a good night between friends ends up becoming more….intimate.
Weeks later Disgust gets really sick. Headquarters then gets rocked with the news, she’s pregnant with her’s and Joy’s child.
How will the emotions react that a new emotion is coming, but this time in the form of a baby. Will Joy be able to put her conflict with Anxiety down now that’s she’s going to be a mother, and what will this mean with her relationship with Disgust.

Deciding to map Riley's mind so as to be prepared for anything in the future, Anxiety runs into the issue of the subconscious. Nobody wants to willingly go down and map the horrifying halls. Until, much to her surprise, Fear offers. Not wanting to worry the others, the pair come up with an excuse and head to the entrance. Fear goes in alone while Anxiety waits. Unfortunately, not everything goes as planned.

It only makes sense that Fear is afraid to bother the others. From very early on in Riley's life Fear has elected to hideaway in a forgotten section of headquarters whenever his nightmares woke him in the night. He had a place to cry or yell without bothering the others. Sure it was lonely and upsetting for Fear but, it was better than disrupting the others in search of comfort, right?
Fear wakes up from his first nightmare sense Anger and him started dating and goes in his usual motions, forgetting a key item and making everyone believe he has gone missing.

It takes place during both films and centers around Joy and Disgust, and their journey from co workers that barely stand each other, to best friends, to eventually becoming much more, as they face both the move to San Francisco and the arrival of Anxiety and co.

Soon the leader of the emotion finds herself secretly drowning in her guilt and fear.
But when she’s at her lowest, Disgust comes in, having noticed what Joy tried to keep hidden, and offers a helping hand. Soon Joy finds herself growing much closer to Disgust as the green emotion shows an unseen softness as she helps Joy heal.
