Summary
Janyel is a New Yorker with no family around him, he got no mom, no dad, no sister, no brother, no cousins, no grandma, no grandpa, and not even a guardian to look after him. He's all in his own at a very young age. He's constantly eating out from the garbage, finding anything to keep himself alive and walking.
Things will get into a much sadder territory once he moves from NYC to CA.
It will not be so very pretty and it'll further so much more to what he is, both as a character and a damaged and mentally unstable person Janyel is.

The date was May 6, 1863. The Army of Northern Virginia had just achieved a major victory in the Battle of Chancellorsville, one of their most relevant engagements against the invading forces of the United States in the War of Northern Aggression.
That same night, mere hours following the Union withdrawal, Captain Anne Booth of the Confederate States of America mysteriously disappeared without a trace.
Stranded in Amphibia, a world full of frogs, toads, and giant insects, the rebel captain must adjust to the life in this strange world and discover the first true friendships in her life, as she seeks a way back to her seceding nation.

Summary
This might just be one of the most eventful days in Hopediah Plantar’s long life. First, the toads arrived in town, only for them to come to his door claiming he hadn’t paid his taxes (which he was pretty sure he did). Then they tried to take his snail for compensation, like heck he’d let them take his beloved Bessie! Then he got arrested for assaulting a Toad Tower deputy, just in time for his grandson to get back home.
Now, when Sprig grabbed his little sister and yelled he’d ‘get help’, Hopediah had not expected him to return with the largest apex predator in all of Amphibia.

Both blink at each other for a few moments, and the other Anne, muddied St. James uniform and all, speaks first.

Eons ago, a cosmetic deity decided to gift mortals a small fraction of their power. But for years, no one could find these sacred jewels filled with ancient power.
Until one day, someone found them. Or at least one. The blue stone of healing and heart, was found by one cruel human.
He used the stone's power to keep him young forever. He kept using the stone's power, until one day, someone else found the stone.
Guards of a nearby kingdom took it to heal their sick and pregnant queen. As expected, the original founder was livid.
Determined to get his youth back, he snuck into the castle intending to find the stone. But all he found was the health young princess. He then realized the stone's power was in this baby.
He tried to get the power back by cutting off some of the baby's hair, but no luck.
Seeing only one more logical conclusion, he kidnapped the princess.
As a result, the kingdom entered an era of darkness. Hoping, praying, that one day their lost princess would return.
And one day she shall.
That day is today, as this is the story of how the lost princess found her way home.
