Keefe flinched as anger spiked beneath his fingers. “Come on, Biana.”
“No,” she whispered, her voice breaking. “No, I want to—“
Her eyes glistened with tears, and she touched her hand to her mouth as a sob escaped her.
“I know.” He took her wrist and pulled her far, far away from the cave, even though he wanted nothing more than to stay with Fitz.
But Fitz needed space.
He left Biana next at Everglen, then ducked past his parents into his wide, empty room.
It was devoid of color—and he never realized it was so big.
There was no warmth in it. There was no use looking to his parents for comfort, either.

"He's also the youngest person to ever enlist." Dex said, bitterness dripping from his voice.

Stellarlune (Book 9) never happened and Keefe is still in the Forbidden Cities. It has been over four years since he left the Lost Cities, leaving a note telling Sophie he cared about her and that she should forget all about him. In between fighting the Neverseen with the Black Swan and eventually defeating them, and continuing her studies at Foxfire, Sophie has been leading weekly searches for Keefe in the Forbidden Cities. Little does she know that a chance encounter in a cute French cafe will give her the clue she needs to find Keefe and, hopefully, convince him to come back.
Ships so far are SoKeefe and Dexiana. Others may be added.
All main characters belong to Shannon Messenger. Romance and sexuality will be alluded to, but there will never be explicit mature content. Feedback and comments welcome!!
