At the Bronze, the Scoobies try to convince Buffy to ditch the Initiative.
This is chapter 13 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer: the Witch, the Scholar, and the Spirit based in Season 4. In chapters 1-12, Willow fell in love with grad student and part-time software engineer, Johnny, who shared a vision of a future Willow flaying Warren Mears. Giles theorized he's from the future in order to prevent that future.
But as Johnny and Willow grew closer, Johnny oddly suggested the Scoobies invite Tara Maclay to join them, and she proved pivotal in defusing the threat from the Gentleman. Despite her love for Johnny, Willow was drawn to Tara. When she met her to do a floating rose spell, their chemistry was undeniable when Johnny arrived. But his suspicion surprisingly melted away, and Willow noticed a ghostly presence with them... a Spirit! She then realized it had been influencing her thoughts for many weeks. While consulting Giles on how to get it out of her head, Willow fearfully reacted to the presence's appearance with a burning ward that seemed to have vanquished it.
Meanwhile, Willow and Johnny uncovered worrisome clues on the Initiative and have been trying to convince Buffy not to trust them.

Since his dalliances with Spike, Zander had been noticing the men around him more and more. His eyes were forever falling to Riley’s ass, he was forever imagining Giles ordering him to strip, bending him over and ploughing into him, so when Oz turned up, Xander couldn’t help but be drawn in by his animal magnetism, he stiffened in his trousers and has had a semi ever since.

If they'd thought graduating high school would make things any easier, they were wrong.
It's not demons, this time, but that doesn't make it any less of a problem. Whoever these masked soldiers are, running around and capturing demons, no one particularly trusts that they're on their side.
Kendra and Faith get closer, even as cute boys from the local university take interest, boys that aren't all that they seem. Doesn't mean its easy, though.
Buffy and Spike are still out there. Somewhere. No one quite knows where. That might be a problem for any or all invested parties at some point.
Plus, Harmony showed up at Giles's apartment as a vampire begging them to figure out what was wrong with her girlfriend (also a vampire) who's starving to death because she showed up after disappearing unable to hurt humans without this pain in her head and they think it has something to do with this 'Initiative'. Her girlfriend who is apparently Drusilla?

Now, a few months after Faith turned on the Mayor and helped Buffy save the day, the Chosen Two are finding their way along new paths. Buffy is figuring herself out in her new college environment, while Faith works to build a life for herself around more than just slaying. As the two grow, the only question becomes what will it take for them to finally act on their feelings for each other. (Season 4 rewrite, building on the changes established in Alone Together.)
I have seasons 5, 6, and 7 plotted out in this universe as well. Someday, I will write them all.
