Summary
Link never believed the myths about the divine monsters sealed away or the ancient inhabitants of Hyrule. Not really. Not even the ones about the human-like tribes who'd lived on this planet before.
But with his little sister missing and alien experimentation turning him into something that may as well be a monster, he has to wonder about the old stories too... he's seen behind the seal. He sees them in his everyday life, where their fate breaks his heart.
AKA The monster!Links are back, and a space fantasy Link joins the Chain.

With their bodies frozen in place, their out-of-body experiences have them seeking help from Hylia, herself a missing goddess, as temporary members of the Undead ... presuming their intended rescuers don't mistake them for threats. Can the Sages, Champions, and Oracles of various eras save them and reverse Hyrule's reality warping with the Links helping from behind the scenes, or are the Links lost and Hyrule's core nature changed forever?

Summary
His time with the rest of the chain has been nothing but enjoyable. It's like a big, chaotic family. Despite his joy in being included in such a wonderful group, a deep, lingering sadness stays rooted in his chest, burrowed deep in his heart. The knowledge of what's bound to come stays in the back of his mind, no matter what he does. It gets harder and harder to keep smiling and reassuring everyone he's fine, especially since with each passing day that becomes more and more of a lie. He doesn't know how to tell them, how they'll react, if they'll treat him differently...

One hundred years ago, there were five champions. Mipha of the Zora, Daruk of the Gorons, Revali of the Rito, Urbosa of the Gerudo, and Link of the Hylians. But in the heat of battle when calamity struck, each of them perished. And Zelda, the princess sealed herself with calamity Ganon until a new hero rises. But hero’s don’t grow out of the ground, they need to be made, and a certain ghostly king seems to find you a good fit.

Link dies, then he wakes up 100 years later with no memory. When Link dies, he is the bodyguard of Princess Zelda, wielder of the Master Sword, Knight of the Kingdom, and the fallen hero who failed in his duty. When he wakes, he is nothing like that. He is no one with nothing to his name, not even memories, his name is the sole thing he has. Well, there is the weird spirit that follows him around that no one can see. Then again, you wouldn't really want to count said spirit when all they do is yell at you for "wasting time" exploring this vast world, finding koroks, cooking, and helping people. Ruin's still good company for all his buzzkill tendencies, though.
OR
Link is both a jaded spirit of a fallen knight and the amnesiac, wandering swordsman. Yes, at the same time. Honestly Ruin just wants to wring Wild's reckless neck half the time. Wild just wants Ruin to stop being so grumpy.
