Summary
What started as an intriguing mystery led The Doctor, Liv and Helen on wild adventures across space, time and Universes. A mystery that led The Doctor to meeting a friend, one that he had never seen before but somehow knew on a subconscious level. For Liv and Helen, it was the adventure that put their relationship to a test. A spiraling sequence of events that forced them to acknowledge unspoken feelings and faced some hard truths. As for Commander Kallan Harper, this was the beginning of the end.

“Go on,” they say quietly, urging her on. They only realize how raspy their voice is in that moment, and soon after that they haven’t had anything to drink in at least a day. What have they even been doing? Their memory isn’t good at the best of times, but they’re usually capable of remembering the past few hours, at least.
“Do you wish you were human?” Helen asks, preemptively abashed. It’s the sort of shameful question Koschei and Theta would whisper to each other before either had regenerated once, unable to deny their curiosity nor their apprehension. “Oh, that came out wrong. I just mean… I used to wish I was like other people. People who never had to worry about where they fit.”

Noah doesn't know why he feels so much dread as he picks up the angry red sign from his Dad's truck. He doesn't know why his eye is so drawn by the crowd of colours and glitter and cheering that he is supposed to hate. He doesn't know why he feels so ashamed.
And he certainly doesn't know why this random stranger with the deep blue coat, and the soft voice, and the piercing eyes is the only one in the crowd not shouting back at him in anger.
A short piece featuring the gayest of the Doctors and exploring how deeply harmful hatred can be to not only to those it is inflicted upon, but also to those who inflict it.

As one of the last surviving soldiers of Arthedain, Liv travels south after the fall of her kingdom at the hands of the Witch-King of Angmar. Having lost everything, grief and shame weigh heavily on her. Nothing remains except for the self-imposed, desperate quest of trying to find her sister who had been sent to Gondor in search of help before her. The road ahead of her is treacherous, no less so than the horrors that lay behind her. While fighting for her life in an ambush by orcs, Liv encounters an elven maiden in the woods, and finds herself in her care soon after. As they learn more about each other, it soon becomes apparent that a shadow had been cast over Lady Helen’s immortal existence, burdening her in a similar manner. Their meeting remains no chance encounter. It seems their lives are destined to intertwine on a road that would take them far away from their respective homes.
