It bit through his flimsy jacket he'd snagged from some construction outpost back in Crossroads, sending chills racing up his arms and every hair to stand on end. He could feel shivers wreck through his too small frame (it's not his fault that money had been so tight due to the Old War). Daggers of ice sinking into his skin. Saping warmth out of his artiers like a vampire.
"Vampires... what a stupid thought. Demons and gods and vampires are what don't walk among us."
He'd snort. He was going to be found buried in a self-made snowy grave and he was thinking about vampires.
